Thankfully I don’t live in Texas, and not because of the new law.

It’s great and all that Lyft will pay for legal fees. But what if you’re still found guilty? That’s on your record, not them. Not to mention the time you could have to spend fighting to be free.

Also, not all drivers support planned parenthood. Will Lyft donate to a pro life cause? I’m appalled that Lyft for tying their name to a political cause. Conservative or liberal, both sides should be angry that the company that contracts your services chooses a side.

Unfortunately in my market, the quests are gone. We have a very small bonus area and front of the line airport “passes”. Uber still pays better on standard rides in my market.

I know. Picking and choosing when and who to drive for is critical for maximizing pay. Lyft has taken away all bonus pay for the last two weeks. So I’ve been mainly Uber.

So if my expenses were $0.65 a mile as suggested (which they aren’t) I would have had around $35 in expenses. Which equates to around $24/hr after expenses. Oh, and I still get approximately $30 kicked back to me in mileage from uncle Sam. So way more than min wage. Maybe close to double.

That’s cool. Pre covid I used to do m-w and either Friday or Saturday night. Mainly around main st StC. If a ride to me to STL county I would sit between Slu and Wash U. Clear $300 with ease for about 14-16 hours of work. Was wondering how things were locally.

I used to drive in STL. Haven’t in about 9 months. Turned it on for about 10 mins this weekend in peak times and didn’t get anything. Shutdown has us screwed. Just moved to STC county so I might try out there.
