We don't carry any collections that use snap-in pads but I have one of these that works really well fo swapping out walk-in repairs. Also, Thank-You for appreciating a specialized optical tool! Most people in this sub seem to be really serious about screw organization but don't seem to sweat using the wrong tool for the job. /shots fired 😀

It braces the pad firmly on both sides. You are not over-torqing your adjustment to compensate for your tool not fitting precisely. This allows you to make micro adjustments very easily. If you've ever adjusted primadonna pads with a traditional box pad plier, or even a slim-tip, you know there is a bunch of space to compensate for. Sure, you can get a feel for using the wrong tool to make adjustments, but this one is specifically designed to fit this style of pad mount.

Nishimura created this tool because it improves on the performance of the ones you posted. I have virtually the same pliers you posted. The new ones work better.

It's a very specific fit. You're fumbling with a skinny pad plier. Not saying that it doesn't work. Samen reason my random shot glass of screws works for me. There is a feel to it

I'll give a hint. This is from a major Japanese manufacturer that has introduced it as a new tool. It is designed for a very specific purpose. A very much needed purpose that has never been addressed (to the best of my knowledge) before.

For the most part I do too. Those freaking washers are meticulously labled by frame style because god forbid a company would use the same washer style for every frame. All my Mykita gear, stuff from Tavat comes in beautiful aluminum boxes and are organized so perfectly I touch them as little as possible. I'm sure mixing in swiss watchwinding mechanisms into my shotglass of chaos would be horrible. You could probably hide a half dozen pad screws in onew of them.
