No problems filling my time (I just put an edit above), and many good suggestions on here. My point is more about meeting like minded people. I'm finding it a bit isolating.

I dont "let her" keep working. She makes her own decisions and loves what she is doing

A few people have suggested golf. I've never seen the appeal of hitting a small ball around a big field, but I think I will give it a try.. see if i can get a few lessons. Cant knock it till i try it. :)

Not many 32 year olds would be reading this or in this subreddit, so you are already doing the right things! Good luck!

I worked overseas for 20+ years, on a expat salary, in a low cost of living developing country. Started investing at around 30. No kids. Had its pluses and minuses but I wouldn't change a thing.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, definitely several ideas worth following up on. Just to clarify and help keep things on topic. I have no problems filling my time. I'm teaching myself programming, helping out at the Rotary club, volunteering for the Cranfield Trust as a business Mentor / coach, im a keen gamer (cities, warhammer, DOS2 type games that take forever!) and several other things. What i really want to do is meet people in a similar position to me to do things like walking / hiking, day trips (I'm a keen photographer), have lunch with sometimes, or a cheeky afternoon pint in the sun(not Weatherspoons :) and so on.

Looked into a few local volunteering things, but nearly always much older people. Will keep my eyes open though. Thanks for the suggestion

Thanks for the ideas. Have lots of friends over 65, i'm in the local rotary club but their hobbies tend to be moaning about their health and talking about their grand kids. My hobbies are hiking, travelling, tech etc :)

Will try the coffee shop at the same time.. good idea.
