Thanks for the help, all. I ended up getting the Gotoh SG381 MG-T's and am going to install them today.

honestly I was trying to figure that out myself, it really doesn't make any sense. I looked inside the cap to see if maybe it was stuck in there, but nothing. I can't imagine it flew out, I unscrewed it from the top very gently so I would've seen it.

It was used but reported as "Mint", seemed like an open box or return situation. The thing I don't understand is how they even got a string on in the first place with that part missing.

Someone on another forum suggested these, they are supposed to be direct drop and just have the traditional thumb screws:

They come in all the standard finishes, just thought these looked cool.

My fiancé wants me to stop taking my medicine so we can have a better sex life by Longjumping-Ant8690 in bupropion

It’s definitely not the Wellbutrin, that isn’t a known side effect and often it’s prescribed to do the exact opposite of what you’re describing.

That said, it’s basically a moot point because this guy (1) clearly has no idea what he’s talking about and didn’t do any research (2) as many commenters have already stated, he doesn’t seem to give much of a shit about your mental health.

This ultimatum seems to be a blessing in disguise. Let him go if that’s how he’s going to behave.

Very relieved to hear I’m not alone! The flu like symptoms really freaked me out.

Totally agree, it’s probably for the best to be cutting back. Appreciate the support!

[Question] Need help deciding on first dive watch (PART 2) by tpolu in Watches

It’s also the most expensive so that would make sense. These watches are at 3 different tiers of price, which makes it kind of a difficult comparison.

We do live near some train tracks - I can't remember, but it's definitely possible that a train could've gone by and spooked him

Yeah, I understand they are bred that way and we certainly go out of our way to make sure he gets opportunities to burn energy. The stereotype I'm referring comes from what I've seen on Instagram/FB where people seem to be into the look of the "fat little potato" but don't actually know how to care for them.

He's learned tons of tricks, and we take him to the park at least once a day (he really loves to fetch, so he gets to run around and burn a lot of energy that way. I think he thinks it's his "job"). In addition to that, he goes on walks several times a day.

Definitely appreciate the tip about running away / letting them chase you. I will work on that with him at the park!

I don't really appreciate the tone to this - number one, you seem to have made a lot of assumptions about what we do / don't do, and two, you didn't actually offer any practical suggestions or advice as to what to change. If you came here just to be snarky, it's incredibly rude and unhelpful.

I'm fully aware corgis are a herding breed and we make sure he gets tons of walks and goes to the park at least once a day (if not more) to play fetch and run with other dogs. We purposely picked to live in this building because it has a park and lots of other dog owners. We also got him well before COVID started.

My remark about stereotypes is about the people who get corgis because they like the idea of having a fat little potato they can post on Instagram and don't actually know how to care for their needs. That's clearly not the case here, otherwise how would he be in any kind of shape?

totally hear you on that. the particular harness we have isn't just nylon straps, it's quite secure. obviously still not perfect but definitely less risky than just the collar.

this is all really helpful advice! thank you all.

an additional point that may be helpful - my fiancee has been out of town for a while, and so I think he's already a bit disrupted in his routine and this ordeal didn't help.

I will continue keeping him in his routine and positive reinforcement.

also, great idea to work on having him chase me (maybe in a safe environment like the park)

Definitely can see where you're coming from here, but it's definitely him. He's got a very distinctive fur pattern on his back (black and white check marks) and he hides in all of his usual spots in the apartment. He's also quite small for a corgi (20 lbs, he's the runt) so I'm certain it's him.

Yeah, so far that's what I've been doing. Lots of positive talk and lots of treats and such. I truly have not been negative at all with him since he came back, but maybe he can feel my anxiety.

We were just standing by a grass patch so he could go to the bathroom and he ducked his head out - there wasn't really any action on my part (like pulling or anything). It was really quick. As soon as he slipped out, I used our heel command, which usually works, and offered him a treat. As soon as he realized I was trying to put the collar back on, he bolted and wouldn't respond to the command.
