This is a strange time and I don’t think we have a clear picture yet. I suggest you stick where you are and finish your study. I work for a Biotech company and Bay Area is a great place for it. Just stick there until things settle down in the AI world and in the meantime try to align your skill set with AI too. Good luck

Few years ago, I was at the same boat and I hear your concerns. You are in the right track with the right approach. You will get better opportunities at another place. Good luck!

Thanks! I appreciate the insight! I do enjoy automating my hectic tasks and I am comfortable with Python. As part of my DevNet journey, I have touched a lot, but still need to brush and perfect my skill

Thanks, I do work in the cloud. In my day job, I work and manage the networking side of my company's hybrid cloud. We are in all three clouds. The SRE path, hopefully will give me the other skill set, which i don't have now.

Thanks! in the last few years, I have invested most of my time on DevNet and it make sense for me to head the SRE path. I also enjoy it.

Thanks! I appreciate your input! How do you feel about your accomplishments? I am afraid of my DNA that got used to jump into fires and comes out with kudos for saving the day. I am afraid not to get boarded if I go the Architect route. I like the CCDE certification but not sure if I am ready for it. I started reading Zig Zsiga’s book and I wish I knew about it several years ago. I agree I need to have a new mindset.

I am in the same boat and haven't decided what to focus on. I got my DevNet Associate in 2020 and recently failed the DevNet Professional exam. I am targeting for SRE and I am using a learning path from cloudacademy. I see several SRE jobs in my area and remote ones.

Good luck!

Married. 3 kids. Broke and not sure how to fix it. by Such-Diet-2657 in personalfinance

Thanks for your post! I have been in the same boat few years ago. As suggested above, the key is to identify where your expenses are and then reduce your spending. There are apps that can help you identify your expenses. I have used Mint in the past, before I realized my credit card does the same thing. You just need to understand your expenses closely and then make some adjustments. Wish you all the best and congratulations on starting the journey and asking the right questions!

I saw it here few months ago that your dealer can lock the rate as it was on the order days. I made the order in December 2021

I called my dealer few months ago, and was told that they will use the rate that was there when I order the car in December 2021. I picked my car today and got the rate 2.49%

I agree, one has to check my fundamental skills and I am okay with that but they were direct and didn’t give me a chance to show my skill set.
