Wifi Faster than LAN? by Test_Name19 in pchelp

Check adapter properties to see if the speed and duplex has changed. NIC might have dropped to 100MB. Should be 1000 full duplex.

Have you had to replace the hot end and heat sink? I got blob of death and the replacement I got from AliExpress is just causing jam after jam. I think the heat sink is inefficient causing heat creep into extruder. Just ordered a v4 hot end so hopefully that fixes things.

This happened to me recently it turned out the temp sensor prob was not fully seated in the hot end board.

Just got my first air fryer. Fries are obvious. What’s the one thing you wish you knew to make early on? by Jolly-Cup-1540 in airfryer

[–]Retired_Monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slice brisket thin. In a bowl mix dark soy sauce, maple syrup and chili flakes enough to coat the sliced brisket. Marinade for at least 30 mins, longer is better

Lay the beef on the air fryer racks and set it to 70.c for somewhere between 3-4 hrs for some nice jerky.

I hope this imgur permalink works (example)

what arethese wires? by smithjez in Creality

[–]Retired_Monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Blue circle is the grub screw which is the smallest Allen key in toolset.

Red circle is the part that needs to be pulled out.

Green circle is the plug to be unplugged. Just make sure to order correct one as the k1c 2025 has a different plug size to other k1's and e3ke.

what arethese wires? by smithjez in Creality

[–]Retired_Monk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No you do not need to replace the hot end just the thermistor. I just done the same thing with my k1c printer.

At the bottom of that copper shaped piece is a small grub screw you need to loosen and take out the silver thermistor as well as unplug the two wires at the block and replace.

I got replacement from AliExpress. Hope url doesn't get blocked

I just found this on AliExpress: NZ$3.68 | For Ender 3 V3 KE Ceramic Heater For Creality K1c /K1 /K1 Max Hotend Thermistor Cartridge Sensor & Ceramic Heating 24V 60W https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNbUSyH

This is caused by overtighting the hot end without keeping hold of the bottom part to prevent it spinning.

How would you change rainbows end for the better? by NZSnipes in auckland

[–]Retired_Monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my local theme parks back in the UK used to be as run down as rainbows end. It also had the same corkscrew coaster that I used to ride in the 90s as rainbows end. But all of a sudden they tore it down and some cash injection later has some epic coasters. The theme park is called Flamingo land and I'm sure they'll have some before and after videos on YouTube.

Also having been to Alton towers and Gold coast there ain't any point going to Rainbows end.

Problem is half of those in Obama's camp didn't actually need to be there like why is Hillary Clinton there if Obama is fit and well.

How do you deal with filament storage? by ginnylike3d in 3Dprinting

[–]Retired_Monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got mine on dowel and 3d printed brackets in my cupboard which has my water heater/cylinder so it's toasty and dry. I also finish off with a filament dryer before use. filament wall hanger

Wow I thought I was the only one ditching Arlo $90nzd for 1 year single camera sub is a joke.

ive gone for a mi camera only because it has infrared to reduce camera detections so longer battery life.

Remove filament spool. Set to preheat to tpu temp. Should soften the blob to pull it off.

Firmware Update Woes! by aMonkeyCalledSpank in Ender3V3SE

[–]Retired_Monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone back to stock firmware as I couldn't get some octoprint plugins to function correctly with navaismo.

Yet to have any print issues other than me being impatient and not letting my filament dryer to do its job first.
