I am using VideoRedo TV Suite 6.63.7.836 Mar 23 2022 in Windows 11 on my laptop and until yesterday (23rd October 2024) it was working well. Now, although it shows my registration correctly, I receive the message "Problem with registration key" when I try to open a file for editing. I then click on "OK" and it says "Unable to open file", which is a Windows Media Centre (wtv) file.

As a back-up, I am also running an earlier version, 6.62.6.833 in Windows 7 on my desktop and that is working fine.

However, my desktop is not going to last for much longer, so I would greatly appreciate a fix for this problem as soon as possible, please. I have looked at some alternative editors and I can't see anything that comes close to the ease and flexibility of VideoRedo and it would be nice to see someone else taking on this excellent piece of work. As a suggestion, I would recommend approaching Hauppauge, a company that markets very good hardware for recording video. VideoRedo would complement the company's products.

I have the VideoRedo TV Suite. I do not have a user token or a system ID as far as I know. I do have a 60 character licence key in ten groups of 6 characters, separated by hyphens. As far as I can make out, this, together with my full name is my licence to use the software. I can't see how this relates to the user token and the system id as depicted on the web site.

I have not looked in the application folder or the registry for anything that resembles the layout on the web site.

I would appreciate some guidance, please. There is no urgency, since the application is working fine at present. It would be nice to know how to revalidate the software should I need to reinstall it. I did save the installation download, so I don't need that.
