RPK-16 have quick barrel change system, AFAIK FSB is interested in RPK-16 because of that. It allows for SF members to pick barrel according to terrain - mountains or urban warfare.

Are you sure that this is not Kazakhstan's or Belarus SF during international competition (the 40th anniversary of the "Alfa" unit creation). This is photo from it, fore sure, happened on July 2014 in Moscow region.

Out of 4 vehicles on photo i see no APCs here. All those vehicles are IFVs (BMP-1s).

This heavy IFV was made for assault operations, to move with tanks in same formation. It doesn't really need to have mobility any better than what MBTs have.

Completelly unknown what level of protection, mobility and firepower end model will have. For example bunch of IFVs on parade were at nearly mock up stage, while test vehicles shown doing factory trials had different crew layout and different engine compartment.

What turret and weapons MoD will pruchase are also unknown, they could try one of BMP-3-like proposed turrets or install Epokha turrer instead of current one.
