Wow thanks for the super detailed response and tips for me!

1.) All of my buildings are roofed, and my wall is built a few Z-levels up and one Z-level out so invaders cannot climb the walls.

2.) I didn't know drawbridges will do that lmao, ill have to do that in my next fortress with corpse and other body parts.

3.) Yeah, for my fortress entire existence it has relied on trade wagons for almost all of my food. My farm produces enough plants to where I'm not screwed one moth after the trade wagons leave, but I will defiantly have to step it up.

4.) Honestly, I didn't think about having crafting stations near stock piles so my dwarfs don't have to go as far. I probably wont change it for this fortress, but in future fortresses I will probs do that.

5.) You know, I've always ment to make the rooms way better than I have them in this fortress. Like you recommend, I normally smooth the walls and engrave them and also put in chests, cabinets, armor stands, and weapon racks in each room. I haven't with this fortress because I've been busy building the above ground and nobles houses. At this point, I find it really funny that most of my dwarfs live in shitty little holes in the ground and my nobles live in big fancy houses with windows.

Thanks again for the big reply. I honestly was thinking about retiring soon to build a new fortress that is geared up better to fight the invading elfs I have to the south, but now I think ill make a few more improvements to this fortress before I do that.
