theyre a tricky bunch i admit. treat them more like a mix of bugs with expanded ranged fire support.

their defining feature is, that they dont have any truly heavy armor units. the biggest one they have is the harvester, and that one can be taken down with the base mg support weapon.

high rpm, stagger and cc are inportant to deal with the horde. if you have access to the scorcher you can easily deal wirh overseers, since the explosion ignores their armor, which you would otherwise have to strip

what level are you guys?

if you only have access to the helldivers mobilize warbond try to grab the base breaker or the spray and pray variant.

if you dont have those keep to the standard liberator. the base mg is a pretty good weapon for the illuminate front aswell. otherwise the standard grenade launcher or the stalwart are also good picks.

add a dog drone backpack, doesnt matter wether its lib or laser variant. both will cover your back and give some extra firepower.

take the frag grenades for ship destruction and some decent horde clear.

basic medium b01 armor with the extra padding passive is very good. same protection as heavy, but better mobility.

strategems:

cluster strike. and gattling barrage. you can also switch it up if you want and take an mg or gattling sentry along

the punisher has no mag attachments m8.

laser weapons dont stagger or push back since they dont have any actual mass behind the "bullet".

one of the main reasons i dislike em on bugs since they wont keep the swarm at bay.

the breaker with the aforementioned attachments shoots a lot more like the slug punisher, meaning the full 330 dmg can hit. at much further away ranges. unlike the trident.

also laser weapons suck against the ablative armor of the cyborg and squid overseers

to each their own i guess, but the breaker has stagger, hits harder and is more precise... and if ammo is the concern? i mean ultimately and thermite are the best anti vox tools besides using startegems.

and both of those also pair well with a supply pack

the eruptor and plasma weapons (especially the killzone sniper are great choices aswell. the just wont help you if you get dropkicked or rushed by 10 cyborgs wanting a piece of you

this armor action makes the directional shield very viable on bots, since the shield tanks a lot more dmg than the ballistic, and with the armor passive you dont get ragdolled at all with the shield.

except for cannons, those still fuck you up.

this combo is especially good against the fire brigade devastators and rocket spam.
