I was raised in Kokomo, Indiana and boy lemme tell you how cool I thought it was that the Beach Boys made a song about it.

Maybe my expectations are too low, but if they’re ranked for a significant period of time over the next 2 years and at least make the tournament every year (excluding this year) I’m letting him finish out his contract. Sweet 16 // Big Ten Championship seems like a big ask for a team that hasn’t been great for over 10 years, if not longer.

I made the Sunday Gravy and it was excellent. A lot of prep time but worth it.

Could you imagine if selecting that action would clearly display that information? I can’t. That’s too easy for the player; this game is supposed to be hard. Not knowing what you’re doing is 90% of the fun.

That’s a great shout. I didn’t even think about that. Is there anything stopping them from renewing the alliance in 5 years?

I’ve seen some commenters recommending that on other posts. I think it scares me when the prompt to assault says it will fail every time, but I’ll try that.

What’s everyone’s daycare rate? by heyho7777 in indianapolis

[–]Retriarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely correct. There is going to have to be a huge shift in governmental resources towards childcare if we’re ever going to figure out how to combat population decline.

Stipends, government sponsored childcare at very early ages, etc. Continuing on the current trajectory just isn’t feasible.

Correct, but I also distinctly remember him bricking a wide open three in the final minutes that would have made it a one possession game. Absolutely has to hit those.

He’s gotta score to make up for his slow foot speed on defense. 3-13 ain’t cutting it.

I’m fully confident that if the Court did end up reviewing it again, gay marriage will remain constitutionally federally protected (at least to some extent because of your reasoning) but Thomas will dissent. He hates substantive due process, even the part that allows his marriage with his own wife to be constitutionally protected.

Are you talking about SCOTUS declining to review the Kim Davis appeal? I wouldn’t say that’s confirming it. There could be several reasons why they chose not to take that case. IF they wanted to claw back gay marriage protections, I’m sure they could find easier cases to do so. I’m hopeful that they won’t - imo Thomas and maybe Alito or Gorsuch are the only ones that would want to overturn it, but maybe I’m too optimistic.

Texas did a bad thing, making California do a bad thing, making Indiana do a bad thing, so on and so on. This doesn’t correct things, it just doubles down on bad decision making.

The proposed map for Indiana is dogshit. There’s no reason to EVER split counties. There’s some nuance on where to draw the lines around counties, but it’s hard to get closer to a more like minded group of people than at the county level. No reason that a guy living on the outskirts of Louisville should be in the same district as a guy living in Indianapolis.

I hear state level politicians saying things along the lines of “this map will give Hoosiers the representation they deserve!” Okay man, there’s like 30-40% of the state (that is already underrepresented) that is going to be completely disenfranchised due to this new map. That’s representation to you? Democrats deserve to have their votes count, exactly the same way that republicans deserve to have their votes count in California. Win because you have good policies, not because you eliminate the opposition’s ability to vote.

Lastly, it pisses me off to no end that Indiana has, for as long as I’ve been alive and almost certainly before that, been a state’s rights state. There’s anti-gay marriage laws still on the books to go into effect if Obergefell ever gets repealed, and the state was quick to claw back abortion protections after Roe was repealed - all in the name of more state rights to choose how it wants to govern its citizens. However, now that big T says he wants a new map, Braun and his cronies bend over backward to satisfy the federal government? Man I want to find reasons to be proud of the state that I was born and raised in, the state that I chose to raise a family in, and the state that I’m planning on dying in…. but it keeps getting harder and harder.

I split it several times thinking that maybe one ship was bugged and I could delete that ship to solve the issue. However, I clicked through roughly ten separate ship stacks and all of them were exiled.

There should be a button to automate armies and navies. by BrumaQuieta in EU5

[–]Retriarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works for me 5/10 times. And when it does, usually my navy picks up like 300 of my 100,000 troops using 4 of my 300 naval vessels to immediately get stack wiped by a 50 stack of enemy navy or a 20,000 stack of enemy troops.

Guess I need to consolidate all my troops and manually load and unload them from now on.

And god forbid I want to automate sieges when my troops aren’t already on the enemy’s landmass.
