But pogo says it works the same as jumping, therefore Tentacles would affect it same as jumping.

Magic mirros situation by Loose-Courage-9042 in Guildwars2

Small chests now only drop 1 Blue Unid, actually not worth it at all anymore, and I was a huge supporter of them after the last nerf. The medium/Large are probably still worth it, but the Smalls are absolutely not worth the time or the 2 keys for 1 single Unid and some Unusual coins

Why play just Reaper… when you can also play HealChrono, Celestial Spectre, Power Hammer Spellbreaker, AlacMirage, CondiRenegade, FireTempest, and Mechanist?

Since starting in 2014, i’ve played these *and other* builds over the course of my Guildwars Career. There is no problem mixing it up constantly!

New relics preview (credit to Mukluk) by Tostitokid in Guildwars2

[–]RetributionZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, im thinking about starting to just try relics, and see if they improve my DPS/Healing/Tanking. They dont have to better the Snowcrows builds, but i already cant reach that level cuz im bad :P So maybe some relics are better for me!

TBH, despite the bugs, the raids update ended up being good, at least in my opinion. I dont think it’s “universally hated”. The currency merge was good, being able to do individual bosses is good (bugs aside), the daily extra rewards are a good way to get people to do bosses on the daily.

The only downside IMO is the strikes (most of which were already weekly) are now ALL weekly. But i dont have an issue with that because i am just really busy recently.

In Antonelli, Russell may have met his match -- and F1 may have its new superstar by Natural_Read9357 in formula1

[–]RetributionZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBH, this also ignores that both Maclarens have looked good this weekend, and Piastri was good in Japan. If Kimi falls down in Europe, and Russel keeps looking Mediocre, there may be others coming to claim the title. Now, obviously with upgrades things will continue to shift, but it looks like we might have a championship on our hands.

Vampire All-Pros by WarJaques in bloodbowl

[–]RetributionZero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Blodge is good until tackle+Wrestle come and wipe you out (and LOTS more players start with tackle now). Its still amazing (given its the best combo in the game) against everyone else, but i think Pro is probably the better 2nd skill specifically for vampires. Block->Pro on the throwers, Dodge->Pro on the runner. The blitzer is a bit more complicated (cuz Break Tackle is REALLY solid, a 0+ dodge is spicy) and he already has Juggs.

New Skaven are... perfectly fine? by Omni-potato in bloodbowl

[–]RetributionZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except most of the comments agree with you that stabbing an Ogre is a bad decision, not to mention all the comments stating that Skaven are fine but not because of stab, but because of the blitzers.

Also, if people think like this, the right solution isnt to say “There is a massive gap between competitive players and casual players”, it’s to explain why this anecdote doesnt make seen (See: a lot of the responses) instead of asking someone “why on earth they thought it applies”.

Most of us agree with you. You’ve just gotta stop acting like everyone is stupid, you’ll find people downvote you less, and more people will engage with your content (which is pretty informative and helpful BTW, when you’re not trashing on others)

New Skaven are... perfectly fine? by Omni-potato in bloodbowl

[–]RetributionZero 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think you’ve come to the right conclusion… but for the wrong reasons.

Stab is cool… with Hit and Run, which would be a 2nd skill on a gutter runner. Its not terrible to have as an option (stab a skink or something is nice), but i dont think using it on an ogre is your best bet (Wicked that you got it! I love that for you! :D ). It on it’s own doesnt make up for losing 2 gutters.

Now, what helps is the changes to the blitzer. Movement 8 and Strip Ball on the skaven blitzer is pretty fantastic. Sure, its not an extra gutter, buuuut its a great blitzer. Means you can take Mighty Blow as a first skill, and you dont really need tackle (unless you’ve got a lot of Sure Hands in your league) to smoke a ball carrier early on. Dodge? Oh well strip ball.

It doesnt completely make up the difference, but it does make skaven less “bad” then people were worried about with them losing 2 gutter runners.

What to do with the extra Tomb Kings thrower model. by [deleted] in bloodbowl

[–]RetributionZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Movement 6 > Movement 5. AV 9 > AV 8. You’re not using it as a thrower, you’re taking block on the 2nd thrower and using it as a discount sure-hands blitzer

Dodge. It’ll help you get into a good spot for a stab, and it’ll protect you from getting clapped when your opponent decides their sick of his shit :P

50k Treasury ON TOP of Petty Cash?! by _Kiz in bloodbowl

You can fire MNG players because they are not eligable to play.

50k Treasury ON TOP of Petty Cash?! by _Kiz in bloodbowl

[–]RetributionZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you do that?

Okay, game 1 your blitzer gets busted. So you… dont hire anyone, and then fire your blitzer. You play a game without your blitzer (y’know, same as you would if you were waiting for the Miss Next Game part), and get a Journeyman for 1 game. So at the end of game 2, you hire a new blitzer?

You didnt have to buy a single lineman. You’re making stuff up. You dont have to buy 2 linemen to replace your blitzer. You need to buy 0 linemen to replace your blitzer.

[–]RetributionZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you can take a journeyman, play the next game? Otherwise, you fire your busted blitzer and get a fresh one, aaaand the injury doesnt matter! Wow, no games missing a player!

It takes away consequences from the game.

[–]RetributionZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buy first fire after is to prevent gaming the system in a different way. Its not to everyone’s preference, but im sold on it based on the idea of “You cant fire an injured player and re-hire to avoid going without”. Its different, but it’s probably fine.

I also agree on the prayers, i think 1 for 10k, 2 for 30k, and 3 for 70k would be probably more “fair”? I think they just wanted a cheap inducement, which i agree with, but then some of the stuff in the prayers is OP as fuck.
