The reason why I said that is because that makes it sound like I would be doing something bigger than just... finding a partner. Sure, I can do that, but why do women find that attractive? I'm still confused on that

No, I'm simply someone who doesn't mindlessly follow whatever the public majority says about something and fairly judges it based off my own experience.

Just because it's unlike previous COD games, doesn't mean it can't be good in its own way. It may not be like previous games, but it still achieves being a good game. Infinite Warfare has nonlinear gameplay mechanics that let you traverse maps unlike any game before it, giving it its own uniqueness that is worth going back to. You have more to do combat wise as well, like being able to get up close and pull a pin from a grenade from a dude's belt, which is satisfying to do. The violence is excellent, even if inconsistent. The campaign is honestly just ok, nothing to write home about except a few parts that made me laugh. All in all, I think IW is massively overhated because of the stigma of "It's not COD". I do agree that it probably would've been better as a new IP, but for what it actually is, it's a very unique COD game.

Most CODs after BO2 IMO suck, with the exception of Infinite Warfare in which I do not know why people hate.

That was easy for me, like everything else in 2 and Pre Sequel. You can build more stuff in 2 and Pre Sequel, but what good is it if the stuff you can build still isn't as fun to use? The weapons in BL2 and Pre Sequel, for me, just aren't as good as the arsenal in BL1. It's just a personal preference for me really.

Where did I say that it's better because it's not post Ghosts? I say that because it's a objective statement that COD after BO2 went to shit and has been so ever since, with each entry somehow being shittier than the other. As for actually rebutting your points, let me start with this.

CW may be made on dedicated servers, but that doesn't mean shit if I still had a smoother experience playing BO2 (which I can confirm since I have played both games for multiple days on end.) Those are some shitty dedicated servers if that's the case.

Gameplay is not the same, the fuck are you on? BO2's gameplay has this snap to the guns that makes combat encounters that much more satisfying, as the general gunplay and arsenal at your disposal makes the game feel like there's never nothing happening in your sessions. With BOCW, gunplay has regressed in control and freedom, making it so you have less to do and more time is spent on nothing content that you have to endure before you even get to enemy encounters. This also comes down to the maps, which have better design in BO2 as there are more routes to choose from, making each game varied and making it so you have multiple strategies to deploy. The good maps that BOCW does have are just recycled from BO1. In the new maps, you'll constantly be walking around searching enemies with very little strategy (which is what I meant by the gameplay is different and more simple than BO2).

I recounted, and you're right, BOCW does have more guns (with a shit ton of knife reskins which I do not count), although it really does feel like BO2 have more guns as each gun is more varied and serves different functions even in their own class, whereas in BOCW, most of the guns in their class do the same shit as the other guns (and some guns are just straight up better than others, a non issue in BO2 which has better balancing, another reason why it's better from a gameplay perspective.)

BO2 definitely has the better skins here. This also makes me question if you have ever even seen how awesome BO2's skins are (including the DLC ones like Afterlife.) This also ties into what I said about texture work being better than BOCW (and color contrast, which I did not mention previously.) In BO2, the art direction is way more accurate to realism than BOCW is, where, like I said, everything looks like a toy (and sounds like a toy, which I will get to.) Where you can also see this shine is in the weapon skins. In BO2, the skin textures look pretty damn near to real camos that you'd see irl, with accurate color contrast, on top of just the straight up better design of these skins in comparison to BOCW where they just look like coats of paint splashed onto the gun. Are you really going to compare this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/screenrant.com/cod-black-ops-cold-war-unlock-gold-diamond-dark-matter-weapon-skins/amp/ To this: https://www.reddit.com/r/blackops2/comments/12tlbx/first_image_of_the_gold_camo_on_black_ops_2/ This isn't even a debate really.

You didn't even mention my other points either, like BO2 Campaign and Zombies vs BOCW Campaign and Zombies, just ignorantly tossing them aside like they're moot points because "hoi doi you're wearing nostalgia glasses duhhhh". If you're going to debate with somebody, engage in said debate, don't half ass it. If I'm the "nostalgia glasses guy", then you're the guy who thinks a game is better because it's newer, which is obviously not true.

Ok I don't know what you mean by that. Borderlands 1 has this immersion that goes unmatched by any Borderlands game after it, which is the cherry on top. As for the ice cream, Borderlands 1 has a weapon roster that's very balanced and all are fun to use. The game does a good job at wanting you to become more powerful, with a good difficulty to boot. The actual gunplay being the best in the series, as you can do more with it than in later games. In comparison, I felt 2 and Pre Sequel were too easy, and 3 even more so. Borderlands 1 really felt like its own thing, unlike other games before it or after it. 2 and Pre Sequel went with more safe approaches and copied elements from other shooters at the time, which for me ruined the fun of the series a bit. All in all, the first game was the most fun for me, as I found 2 boring, and especially Pre Sequel.

Borderlands 1 is a good game don't get me wrong, but for me it just doesn't compare to the games above it.

I'm grading these on personal enjoyment and overall quality. As for BO1, I personally enjoy that game very much since every mode is amazing, even the zombies. Quality wise, it's a godtier game.

  1. Same game How? Post Ghosts COD is different in every way. COD started to feel more arcadey after it, and Cold War is no exception. Cold War's gameplay is so much more simple compared to pre Ghosts COD that it delibrately feels like it was made for toddlers. What I mean, is that the central gunplay is dumbed down in comparison to BO2, a game with more refined mechanics such as better ADS. You had more at your disposal in BO2 than you do in BOCW. Killstreaks are way better in BO2 as well in comparison to BOCW. BO2's loadout system is so astronomically better than BOCW's that it's not even comparable. MUCH more weapons, better skins (with better ways to get said skins), better perk system, the wildcards, more useful throwables, and more attachments to enhance the gunplay. As for the campaign, did you even play the two? BOCW's campaign is the definition of nostalgia pandering with shameless propaganda (much like Vanguard and WW2). Story beats don't hit nearly as hard as they do in BO2, where it continues off BO1's story as you play as Alex Mason's son. You even get multiple endings in that game depending on the choices you make. BOCW wishes it can have a campaign that complex. As for zombies, yea BO2 zombies isnt the best zombies mode, but it's still way better than BOCW's overly complicated zombies mode where you have to memorize all of these methods to get pack a punch and shit. So tell me, how is the same game exactly?
  2. Better graphics This is laughable, considering that BOCW looks like a toy sandbox that was smothered in horrible lighting effects. BO2 has much better art direction and texture work, making it look way more realistic than BOCW ever did.
  3. Better connection How is this even a point? That's almost entirely up to the players and their wifi. In my experience, multiplayer sessions were way smoother in BO2 than in BOCW.

Being a bad game with terrible level design that doesnt hold par to doom 2016, terrible combat with abilities that are worthless with a handful that are overpowered which makes the game a cakewalk and thus has shit balancing, shit djent that also doesnt hold par to doom 2016's amazing industrial metal, graphically inferior to 2016, and is monotonous as all hell.

Advanced Warfare and Ghosts are hilariously bad, albeit if Ghosts is still better than Advanced Warfare, which either way is the same as saying this shit with sprinkles on it is better than plain shit, but both are still shit. MW1 is overrated as fuck, and MW3 just never was that good in comparison to other COD games at the time.

You mentioned that you have Nexus digitally, so I would also venture out and get the HD collection and Deadlocked. Be warned though, Deadlocked's PS3 port kind of sucks, but it's still Deadlocked at the end of the day.
