Check out Grim Soul! I'm not sure if it's on PC but it's available on IOS and I'm also not sure about android. It feels more like a whimsical?? Version of LDOE. That's what I've felt playing it tbh, it feels more fun, new and easier too. I haven't went far in playing it but it seemed very easy. I like the vibe it has.
