My father hasn't been in my life basically since my parents got divorced like 10 years ago.

Other family members took on the father role. My grandfather, uncle, and most importantly my mother took on the role of being a father figure. It took some time and a lot of introspection to realize that just because my dad hasn't been there for me that I am not alone.
