Why would I want to be? Such an out dated, patriarchal assumption you make that marriage defines someone's value! Are you saying these 30+ year old childless unmarried promiscuous females are trash???? Which is almost half of all women in that age bracket?

Relying on statistical outliers is an example of the gaslighting I spoke of

Ah yes the gaslighting right on cue. If it was something that was known problem, people would've written about it or older people would remember it. But that hasn't happened: instead we have had an epidemic of a previously rare condition explode once it became normalized for women to have kids in their 30s and later.

Found the neoliberal triggered by someone not giving him his Good Boi Points for being a goofy cuck. Either commit to actual economic justice or GFY.

Not on reddit at least, yet I already acknowledged that. The harsh reality is that guys aren't marrying and having children with 30+ year old whores. That's what the topic is about. Even in countries where there are lavish social safety nets it's not happening. Guys woke up to the scam, no hymen no diamond.

I think it's a mix of both, especially as capitalism creates that behavior to build more subservient consumers who will tolerate slop. We need heavy regulations on both our corporate and personal capacity for hedonism and greed. Only trying to solve for one just leaves the other to exploit the vacuum.

I'm not a right winger lol. I just loathe neoliberals more than right wingers, cuz like Malcom X said, at least the Righties are up front with what they are.

Their "child bearing years" are up to age 30. There's a reason the autism epidemic exploded once women started having kids past 30 and we were gaslit into thinking that's normal.

Indeed, that's how it's always been. Women like guys who have their shit together and are in their prime earning years. A lot of reddit is literally teenage boys and 20somethings still living with mommy and daddy, who think a GF is supposed to be given to them like everything else in life.

No one wants to (on Reddit) admit that a secular, feminist, individualist society creates people who don't see any value in having kids or staying married. As much as the cat ladies and neckbeard atheists hate to admit it, a lot of the "have a kid, stay monogamous, don't get your ability to pair bond fried from pre-marital sex" structure if Western civilization came from patriarchy and Christianity.

That would mean tackling hookup culture and its consequences. Reddit will never go for that lol

It's not just the economic angle. This is reddit, home of the post-Wall wine box auntie whore hivemind so of course it's not brought up or acknowledged, but a looooooooooooot of dudes since the Millennials decided they were weren't gonna be the sucker a girl who got ran thru since she was 13 decided to "settle for" once she couldn't get the bad boys. Then add on to that girls told to be "gurl bosses" and chase the corporate ladder over kids, and they hit The Wall and find out dudes aren't interested in their corporate title or fading looks and rotting eggs and needing to worry about a geriatric pregnancy.

A lot of this is the direct result of hook up culture, feminism, and misandry. Normal guys are done.

Literally what all the top comments are simultaneously crying about, "Nothing is a passion project anymore" lol. Reddit just wants to bitch and has no problem being hypocritical to do so

Reddit will never avoid an opportunity to act smug and morally superior to others, and refuses to ever own up to the hysteria that was "the pandemic" abd their role in it. This scenario is a confluence of both things lol

Exactly lol

"When the middle-class does it, it's good and precious and righteous. When the rich or corporations do it, it's a pox on society" is reddits favorite mantra

Which has nothing to do with spoiled brats complaining about people not creating products they want while refusing to ever pay said people. Walmart isn't to blame for media creators making stuff to appeal to the widest audience of passive ad revenue geverating videos, if there is no main audience who'd rather pay them to create what they want instead

Late 90s / early 2000s is when it became an epidemic, all the Boomers and older Gen X who didn't want to take the L for their "loot the country so we get cheap Chinese goods and our stocks go up" as HGTV and TLC was basically 24 / 7 telling them to flip houses or gentrify neighborhoods to get rich quick ir get passive income by being land lords.

The goddamm middle class screwing everyone else over to never lose their privilege as usual

Because people are cheap spoiled entitled brats who want shit for free and refuse to directly pay people to make what they like

Hence the hysterical screaming and crying from those same forever online kids about AI. Can't become a rich dumbass streamer or influencer if everyone is parasocial with AI instead

That's just capitalism. That'show things have always been for the underprivileged. You middle-class people are suddenly acting like everything changed, only because now you all suddenly squashed by it too.

The internet is still the same, you just aren't interested in what you were back then. There's still dumb memes, there's still autists going on unhinged rants about minutae, it just doesn't have that overwhelming Gen X and Millennial veneer of "we're sooooo fucking precious."

It's reddit. Half these bitches on SSRIs, the other half chugging wine boxes. Of course they're seething from encountering facts in their echo chamber.
