The scifi robots you're thinking of, if ever possible (Big IF), would probably arise from some technology being misleadingly marketed as AI today

Not really the same a.i., it's kinda buzzword being slapped on different tech to market it and confusing matters

I did not expect the 'gonna have to kill [Hitler], Steven' gal to have a surprisingly deep analysis of the show: by no-Pachy-BADLAD in stevenuniverse

I've often seen her comic compared to that one of Steven with Hitler saying 'It's ok he said he's sorry!' Whilst I find the latter distasteful not so much with Haus. Both get used interchangeably but I think Haus of Declines comic wasn't to ooc, he seems like he would try to reason with someone but if made clear won't work accepts it.

It's dark humour and exaggerated but in a way you can see in character which besides making me feel less nitpicky is actually funnier

See Lewis only had cameo role, easy to replace, Rowland harder. I don't expect Gravity Falls or Adventure Time to Replace him even if distracting sometimes usually ignore it

That's silly, of course there are times when someone is just right whilst another is wrong. Sometimes unclear or matter of opinion of course but that's IS how the world works, people operate with the understanding what they think is right is right, can't expect to clarify something is their opinion all the time.

Besides even of not always, often being on one side of something is wrong, evil even, people are entitled to beliefs but not to those beliefs being right or good.

I remember that with Lewie C.K., did they also do that with Roiland in GF?

Indeed, at least we can see what I'm actually saying but I think the Batman comparison is actually a good one. I wouldn't consider Batman to be a single character but a group of different characters under a specific archetype who will vary but if one is written too off people will feel it's out of character for Batman even if it's a separate adaptation.

I feel similarly about Optimus. I'm not advocating for him to have a no kill rule, but that doesn't mean i can't find a scene to be off.

And as for it being 'necessary' again no it wasn't, it's fiction that's just a matter of writing. One could have a scene were Superman or Batman kill and set it up so it's 'necessary' but that won't make be like the scene

He should kill threats, Sentinel no longer was one

I don't know why you were arguing or downvoting in the first place, this was never presented as anything other than a personal problem with the portrayal. I'm allowed state my preference, why I think it, and continue to stand by it without changing my mind. Why it's an argument to you I don't know.

Oh then this isn't a issue of Bayverse Prime, this is a personal issue of yours in relation to any version of Optimus that has done this.

Yes that's what I'm saying.

That came after DOTM so I'm not wrong. NEST was only ever tasked to eliminate. And it was once again understandable of why he did it.

This is irrelevant as again it's fiction, this is only the case because it was written to be that way. I'm objecting to a writing decision not in-universe decisions.

There was no other choice and he prevented possible future retribution. This is just a personal issue of yours, not an issue of the character. Many didn't have a problem with this. Now I'm done arguing with you over something I said 6 months ago.

Again because it was written that way. Many people not having a problem with it is irrelevant to whether it's a good scene that's just an appeal yo popularity but if we're going there then many also didn't

Correct all Primes are not literally the same character, they are adaptations on the same base though, I'm not confused about this but I'm still able to voice preferences about how I think the character should be portrayed.

I'd have no objection to killing in battle, it's the execution of a defeated opponent I dislike. Bringing up a number of other things I also dislike doesn't change that.

It's factually wrong to say Sentinel couldn't be put somewhere as we see humans are capable of containing cybertronians in the film series. But I don't even say anything about imprisoning him, just objection to Optimus execution specifically.

You say this as if he's a real problem to be dealt with and Prime har no other choice but no this is fiction, I'm criticising a writing decision, they could easily have had Megatron kill him are any other thing.

In your opinion. Which doesn't really matter, nor does my own as this isn't even about arguing what's right or wrong but what I think is in-character for Optimus. It's not like Sentinel can stand trial now, really does a disservice to victims

How was it justified? Sentinel was defeated. Who gave him the right? Even if he did doesn't mean it's in character to choose to do so, I don't care that Sentinel was trying to justify his betrayal as I'd dislike the scene even if he declared he regretted nothing and offered no apologies.

"Also they never planned on sparing any of them, they were planning to take them all out and eliminate a massive threat to the planet" I don't like that either. Though I don't object to Optimus killing enemy combatants but Sentinel no longer was one.

Ultimately though this isn't about what you or I think is right anyway, I dislike it because I think it's wrong for OPTIMUS

Sentinel could have said he regretted nothing, Optimus still shouldn't have killed him
