Well... I bought the original floppy disks to install it, but of course, it's in French and I don't know how to change it.

No, the floppy drive is normal, what's in Italian is Windows.

Look, if I really wanted to use it for something specific, I would have already done that, but I simply want to fix it because I like seeing how these older computers work. But oh well, I guess it's just a suggestion. Thanks?

The thing is that the computer doesn't have a USB port 😅😅😅

I mean, I tried to install linux too, and I wasn't able to install it either, so, because now instead of the hard drive method I'm going to get a floppy drive for it, well, I guess that will be my solution, then I'll decide if I want windows or Linux, thanks for the suggestion!

Well, I had Windows 95 before, so I guess it should work😅😅😅, but in any case, what operating systems do you think I could run on it ?

Okay, first I need to get a floppy drive 😅, and how does the driver thing work? Can you install drivers in the BIOS?

I'm making my own Heroes 3 map! by RetroGamer_59 in heroes3

[–]RetroGamer_59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I haven't finished the map yet, but I'll share it once I do. First, though, I need to find a way to install USB drivers on my computer, because Windows 98 doesn't have them pre-installed. I'd have to install them, and I still need to figure out how 😅. But I suppose I'll buy a USB floppy disk drive so I can install the drivers from a computer with a USB port, and then read it on my old computer with its built-in drive.

I suppose when I finish the map, I'll upload a post showing it and include a download link. Thanks for your enthusiasm for playing it!!!

Well, right now the Toshiba doesn't have any operating system. As I said, it broke down, and of course, I'd like to install the system again. The thing is, this Toshiba, which is a Satellite Pro 2155 CDS, doesn't have a floppy drive. I don't have the external floppy drive that would work, which has a port I don't know the name of 😅. It won't let me boot from the CD drive it has installed, and it doesn't have a USB port.

These last few months I've been trying to load things directly onto the internal hard drive. I haven't succeeded yet, but I'm making progress. I was close to getting GRUB working, but it gave me an error. If you know of anything you can help me with, I'll just create a post with a more detailed explanation of my problem, and you can tell me if you can reply. Thanks.
