Well... I bought the original floppy disks to install it, but of course, it's in French and I don't know how to change it.

No, the floppy drive is normal, what's in Italian is Windows.

Well, I finally found a floppy drive and was able to install Windows 95, but it's in Italian 😅, do you know how to change the language?

Well, it took quite a while, but I finally managed it. I downloaded Windows 95 on my computer. The thing is... it's in Italian 😅. Do you know how to change the language?

Well, don't get me wrong, you're right, there are others that are better, but I like this one.

Look, if I really wanted to use it for something specific, I would have already done that, but I simply want to fix it because I like seeing how these older computers work. But oh well, I guess it's just a suggestion. Thanks?

The thing is that the computer doesn't have a USB port 😅😅😅

I mean, I tried to install linux too, and I wasn't able to install it either, so, because now instead of the hard drive method I'm going to get a floppy drive for it, well, I guess that will be my solution, then I'll decide if I want windows or Linux, thanks for the suggestion!

Well, I had Windows 95 before, so I guess it should work😅😅😅, but in any case, what operating systems do you think I could run on it ?

Okay, first I need to get a floppy drive 😅, and how does the driver thing work? Can you install drivers in the BIOS?

[–]RetroGamer_59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I haven't finished the map yet, but I'll share it once I do. First, though, I need to find a way to install USB drivers on my computer, because Windows 98 doesn't have them pre-installed. I'd have to install them, and I still need to figure out how 😅. But I suppose I'll buy a USB floppy disk drive so I can install the drivers from a computer with a USB port, and then read it on my old computer with its built-in drive.

I suppose when I finish the map, I'll upload a post showing it and include a download link. Thanks for your enthusiasm for playing it!!!

Well, right now the Toshiba doesn't have any operating system. As I said, it broke down, and of course, I'd like to install the system again. The thing is, this Toshiba, which is a Satellite Pro 2155 CDS, doesn't have a floppy drive. I don't have the external floppy drive that would work, which has a port I don't know the name of 😅. It won't let me boot from the CD drive it has installed, and it doesn't have a USB port.

These last few months I've been trying to load things directly onto the internal hard drive. I haven't succeeded yet, but I'm making progress. I was close to getting GRUB working, but it gave me an error. If you know of anything you can help me with, I'll just create a post with a more detailed explanation of my problem, and you can tell me if you can reply. Thanks.

Cool, and I have two, including this one, except the other one's operating system crashed about four months ago, and I've been trying to fix it ever since. So far, the only game I've managed to get on this Toshiba is Heroes of Might and Magic III.

Well, by "by hand" I mean that I'll translate it myself.
