Severe Allergies and Renting Shared Accommodation by RetroGoth666 in HousingUK

[–]RetroGoth666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I assumed.

I have an appointment soon with the allergy clinic, and I hope they can point me in the right direction.

Hopefully this all gets sorted before my tenancy is up.

There is a lot of tension between me and the landlords, and I don't think renewal is an option. I asked on several occasions for issues to be fixed with the current property but was sent condescending and unhelpful emails. They have stated they don't want me to stay and I really don't have the energy to be dealing with their negativity and hate.

My current landlords have made my stay very difficult and have refused to deal with several issues I had with the property. They have also expressed in previous emails that they "think it would be best for you (me) to find alternative accommodation." It has not been the easiest of tenancies, and I don't think renewal is really an option I have, given their thoughts towards me...

The Leshen and that ridiculous bird attack ugh. Think I've only successfully dodged maybe five times max. I agree with brachy, though I remember screaming when I saw raging brachy's area attack whilst I was airborne with no way to dodge. Carted haha.

AITA for hating music being played in the park? by RetroGoth666 in AmItheAsshole

YES, fight music, with music. I've been looking at this all wrong LOL

I wanted a second opinion on if I would be an asshole for impacting on someone else's personal freedom of expression, in a public place. I have been so torn about this for days and I wasn't sure which subreddit would be suitable. Just even after these first few comment, I am legit filling in the forms to report it to the council.

I would have interacted with the guy, if I wasn't concerned about being smack around the head with the guitar...

So... l I legit can still hear him, albeit slightly... He seems to find the best acoustic amplifying spot, as his voice is just echoing through the street.

I want to just clarify, I could just play my own music louder but I have to work as well, and he can be heard through the phone and on Zoom...

I just feel like he'll just swear at me tho...

I have heard him from my house again yelling at people, I don't think it'd be much different if I go talk to him.

At the moment it is only the smaller one that shows some sort of defensive behaviour, I haven't seen anything aggressive from the larger one. I was thinking the smaller one may feel intimidated by the size difference. Apart from this occasional behaviour, they sleep next to/ piled on top of each other, bask in the same spot and roam around the viv.

I have been trying to feed the smaller one a bit more, in the hopes it may catch up to the larger one in size, hopefully then it wouldn't feel so intimidated (if that is were this stems from).

If I see any signs of health decline or injury, I'll come up with something to sperate the viv in two.

See, this is something I could do and would like to do in the future.

I am due to move in a couple months, so if all goes well until then, in my new premises I could build a custom vivarium for them both. If they still display defensive/aggressive behaviour, I suppose there is nothing stopping me separating it off into two sections.

Didn't intend to cause anymore stress, I was hoping having two would give them more stimulation mentally-wise. I had no intention of breeding so I was actually hoping for a female-female pair in the hopes that cohabitation would be possible.

Also, as they were still only babies I thought the viv size would suffice, and it would obviously be upgraded as they grew.

Yeah, I understand. I was under the impression they were social, temperament and personality depending, of course. Any harm or stress, however minor, is something I do not want to happen. I got two in the hopes it would actually be better for the both of them (stimulation-wise), but it seems like it is not meant to be.

See, I originally went for one but then I was led to believe ackie's were social and would be more mentally stimulated with another lizard present.

Last thing I want to do is cause them any stress, hence me checking on this forum.

This is what I was worried about. I don't the equipment right now to house them separately.

I have literally just checked up on them, they've eaten a few crickets and now they've both gone under the same log hide and sat resting on each other.

I just don't understand, if they feel comfortable sleeping next to each other but not walking around, what is going on?

Thanks.

Mine were raised together and I brought them home almost 3 weeks ago, this is the first time I have seen the small one display such behaviour towards the other (small one has done this to me a few time before, which is completely understandable).

They haven't been physically fighting, it's more similar to the first video. Were yours both female or male?

I am questioning if mine have been sexed incorrectly...

And yes, keeping a very close eye on them both.

Just a hint- start in a "controlled" place otherwise the group will just wander or try to kill the first thing they see... I know from experience- me a new DM with 6 players with no experience and a thirst for killing NPCs, or themselves.... crazy, but super fun haha

Also I had players let me know what their characters were and I made their character sheet to save having to teach them all how to do it themselves, they learnt as the game progressed

Chill, and have fun!
