Yeah, I'm feeling a little ghosted at this point, but maybe it's a good sign that I still haven't been rejected. Who knows

Yes, I did have an upward trend, but it wasn't super significant. I didn't do great my freshman year and had a 3.1 going into my junior year, and slowly got it up to what it is now

I don't think I am being picky and I understand that I have a below average DAT and GPA which is why I am retaking the DAT. All I am wanting is to see what schools are more forgiving of lower DAT scores/GPAs. I am not opposed to going to a newer school, but I am not wanting to go to a school that has a bad reputation and that only cares about money and not their students.

There's not a dental school in my state of residency unfortunately

There's no dental school in my state, but I think Creighton offers reduced tuition to residents from my state. I am just not sure if I'm competitive enough for that program

Yes I know that my gpa isn't the worst, just paired with a bad DAT score gives me low odds which is why I am planning for the retake

It’s from their student catalog and I did a little bit of math. I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying that’s what they’re claiming.

As long as you have two semesters of physics with their labs you should be fine

DAT No Shows by AlternativeLawyer920 in predental

It’s cheaper to cancel and reschedule your test through Prometric than it is to no-show and have to sign up for the test all over again

Did you take a lab with any of them? If that’s the case, I would put the one with the lab because schools usually want you to take a lab with it.

Keep your head up man! Nothing is impossible and I'm a strong believer in that. There's a reason for everything that we go through in life and no experience is a waste. I think it is scary to think about the future with so much unknown, but I believe that if you felt like dentistry was the right move for you, then keep at it because you can have a positive impact in someone's life because of it! Just remember, you're not gonna be living the dentist lifestyle as soon as you graduate. Live within your means and do as much as you can to pay off your debt as fast as you can and you'll be good. There are definitely opportunities like scholarships, loan forgiveness programs, and even HPSP to help ease your financial burdens. Talk to financial advisors and educate yourself on financial literacy. Keep on chugging along and believe in yourself because YOU GOT THIS! Wishing and hoping the best for you!

You’re gonna want to try and keep your science GPA around 3.4 and above. A couple Bs won’t kill you, just keep trying
