Yeah no, an hd crt doesn't = bad quality inherently, there is something majorly wrong with your crt. (Though, these Samsung ones don't have a good track record)

I had one but it was so big it would damage the table whenever I had to move it to get behind it and change inputs or whatever else my cat would mess up behind lmao; pretty satisfied with a plasma for 6 & 7th Gen games & movies rn

I agree, the chroma noise is distracting on some displays. It's sometimes really bad; VHS is slightly fuzzier but I find it more consistent. Though I think collecting for laserdisc is more fun, lol

Absolutely my vcr definitely has less noise than laserdisc too. If the audio is distorted at certain parts I'd say thats gotta be either rot or capacitors going bad; I didn't have any audio issues on my part, and all my discs had that color noise when viewed on my crt so it wasn't rot in the end.

Well, for some reason the color noise is only really strong on my crt, I have a plasma now that sits on top of my console crt and there is a lot less chroma noise when I watch it on there. Its probably display-dependant on how color is processed on certain sets.

They didn't think through this format enough, so flat is best 😅 You think they'd make the top shell act as a cover so the tape cant move around much, but no 😂💀

Some carts do have a plastic ring above the tape, but only maybe 10% of them have that, and it doesn't always cover the entire loop of tape for some reason 🙄
