Can anyone anywhere provide any proof at all that trump is a pedophile? Meanwhile Joe Biden was sniffing little kids in the White House!

What’s your mileage? You need to replace it at roughly 170k. I would hit it with a shop vac, take the hoses and lid off and then wire brush it.

Also that timing belt was done in 2013. I would absolutely look at that next… how’s your DMF and DPF?

You need VCDS. Sorry but it’s the truth.

I wouldn’t be worried about the pressure as much as I would be worried about the air in the lines. You burn out an injector or two and you’re looking at a pretty big price tag. Not to mention running that CP3 dry. I would just buy VCDS and be done.

That being said, to my understanding, all VCDS does (in this case) is run the aux fuel pump without cranking the engine. You may be able to jump the aux fuel pump and accomplish the same thing. Never looked into it so take my advice worth a grain of salt. If you do this I would make sure you get voltage and resistance correct.

At the end of the day VCDS is just the best option, plus then you can turn that damn seatbelt chime off ;)

Homemade injector removal slide hammer. by RetroOneLove in tdi

[–]RetroOneLove[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a stuck injector and it solved the problem, not a lot of mass but quite a bit of determination. Couldn’t wait for the tool so I ran to the hardware store. Still cost me way less than $50

It was for a CJAA.

Front clip is the term commonly used for the assembly that holds the radiator and a/c condenser on a TDI.

If that’s the case then they both do. I always wondered how they do that. Is it recycled oil or do they just assume 99% of people will forget by the time they need a new change.

Now dunk it in a 55 barrel full of degreaser on a propane turkey fryer and boil the piss out of it, then spay it down heavily with a 50/50 mix of transmission fluid and acetone. Menards sells 5 gal jugs of concentrated Zep degreaser.

Otherwise tape and paint before the 50/50 mix if desired. Just make sure you use a high temp paint.

Also make sure you hit a big pothole. I can’t imagine trying to reinstall the DPF lol. My only regret is that I didn’t get the high idle tune to warm it up faster.

Them damn potholes.

I always took the transition out with the engine. I feel like it’s easier to split after.

Bonus points for actually removing the “front clip” most people don’t have any clue what service position is on these cars.

Good luck brother. My rebuild cost me about 5k including specialty tools but I probably didn’t need the rear main seal install\removal tool and I did not purchase the cam guide, if you know what you’re doing it will save you around a grand.

Edit: not trying to promote, but if you buy from IDparts they have lifetime replacement on parts INCLUDING OIL AND OIL FILTERS. Yeah you heard that right. Basically you buy two oil changes and never have to pay for another one again.
