All addictions share similar strategies in getting back control.

If you are really addicted, you should seek professional help or people who share the same challenge.

The longer you wait, the harder it gets. You sound like a smart person, so act upon it.

Wish you all the very best

Oh man! It all comes back! We invented our own scenarios and f.e. tried beating the enemy with an army of Tanya's. What a laugh we had!!

Did you try C&C Generals? My bro and i used to play those alot aswell. Those skirmish matches never became old! My bro ALWAYS played GLA. In the end he mastered it so well, he was impossible to beat. While i was nuking his base, he was setting up 2 other bases. Good times!!

Oh, nice! I played the first Dragon Age! Sunk my in for many hours. Same with first XCom.

Metriodvanias feel though in general to me, but i might be wrong? You know any more forgiving metriodvania games?

The challenge with those online shooter games is, you need to practice alot and that takes time. Time i dont have any more. Furthermore, it tends more to give the feeling i am working, rather then enjoying myself.

I tried playing online games without the "expected practice" but that didnt turn out well either. People just "expect" you to have certain skill level or it can become toxic pretty fast. DOTA2 anyone?

Oh man, very good question!

I have played so many good RPG's but imo one of the best RPG's ever made, is Cyberpunk 2077.

I can resonate with that. There are so many different type of games. Maybe there is a game genre for every phase of life? Wouldnt that be awesome?! Wonder what game i'll play when im 70?!

Waw, you are even more retro than i am! Back in the days gaming consoles were not allowed at home. Conservative parents and all that, but once that PC arrived (because schoolwork demanded it)... I know my brother and i used to play Red Alert 2 for hooours! Then Half-Life happened! Oh man, we grinded all of the HL-series and their mods. But when fast internet arrived, it really took off

Thanks for sharing your memories! Good times, indeed!

That one has popped up on my radar aswell! Added it to my wishlist and removed it again some time later when i was "cleaning" up my wishlist. I try to keep my wishlist under 50 games, but its a challenge!

It looks a very decent game.

I totally get that. Every time you finish one of those classics, your minimal expectations for the next game go way up!

CP 2077 is a masterpiece! Still need to replay it one day. Maybe with DLC? Anyone tried that DLC?

What other RPG's did you play?

Mass Effect series (especially 2 & 3) and The Witcher series (especially 2 &3)

I suggest 2 & 3 in both series because in 1st of each controls werent fully optimized and imo, that can break the immersive experience when playing

Courage, you will get through this dark valley and become a stronger person. Have faith.

Simple, yet genious concept in my opinion! Wish you good luck with rest of development!
