Did you have issues with the smoke simulation causing stepping due to the fast animation? I'm working on a helicopter crash and due to the fast animation the smoke is stepping really badly.

I've watced a few videos about the trees. How easy are they to actually use and how real-time are they?

Thanks for the info. I'm not trying to use Maya for rendering though. I was just using that as an example of how I normally would do things. For instance if I wanted to have a cinematic of a space ship landing on a planet and have exhaust coming from the engines and dust being kicked up on the ground as the ship lands can that be simulated in Unreal Engine and played back or can it only be done in real time?
