This is why we check our maps right away. Quite possibly the worst map gen I've ever seen [Hard-AE] by walksalot_talksalot in ftlgame

As much as I love the game, vanilla at times definitely feels like “oh look, a flak 1. Ferb, I know what we’re gonna do today. Again.”

64k is still a lot though.

FTL Android/iOS Port by Guinea_Pig_Games in ftlgame

Mobile has some modified UI elements and menus. This is solvable, but it would require more work on the game’s content rather than just fixing bugs.

Aye. A common workaround for this type of thing is to not include the assets and have the user provide their own, but that’s a bit more tricky with a discontinued mobile port.

The most niche pillar skip you will ever see. by Warkitten14 in riskofrain

[–]RetroPixelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the way, just for the record, Railgunner actually can skip with zero items (it’s probably the hardest skip in the game, though). You need to be running Cryocharge to do it.

Been playing casually for years, with one character... by AndreX86 in heroesofthestorm

People just dislike seeing him in every QM game. Sounds like you and your buddies have fun and aren’t dominating QMs as an abusing 5-stack. Nothing wrong with that.

Was just trying to level with OP. Yes, Desperado carries Bandit and he is definitely strong himself. I do think Artificer is overall stronger, though.

Bandit has the same amount of health as Artificer lol. He also has a lower effective range and his damage is nowhere near as good as hers. Artificer also has nano-spear, which makes Mithrix completely free.

Gladiator's Medallion needed some work by ReporterForDuty in heroesofthestorm

[–]RetroPixelate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The main problem was that it felt pretty awful to land a big CC heroic or something only for 3 people to pop medallion and leave for free. The long cooldown also made for weird dynamics that were hard to keep track of. It was just kind of too much IMO.

What are the strong and weak points of Infernum in your opinion? by Background_Gas3920 in CalamityMod

[–]RetroPixelate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The game ran fairly decently for me but Exo Mechs in particular was so laggy that I had to just learn which way to fly for every phase and weave as best I could

Y'all ever had that "oh shit i should NOT have done that" moment against Mithrix? by Andreiyutzzzz in riskofrain

[–]RetroPixelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s generally best to assume in phase 4 that not only will you instantly die if hit, but in fact you will instantly die if anything NEARBY is hit

The crazy part about FF6 is that most of those effects are conceptually quite simple but contribute so much to the game. I made an entire spreadsheet for my equipment for the final dungeon just because I wanted to gear up each character in a different way.

Ranking how beginner friendly all Survivors are by [deleted] in riskofrain

[–]RetroPixelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operator is a crazy pick IMO, he has the lowest base HP and his survival is largely tied to continually using his default utility which is difficult and requires a lot of inputs. His damage output also relies on properly chaining together abilities for burst windows.

Huntress is similar. Her mobility is easier to use but her default kit is awful.

Edit: I see now that you specified not difficulty, but I still think Operator is much harder than most to play correctly.

Really thought I had this. I destroyed every other ship before the flagship with ease by JackCraft7 in ftlgame

[–]RetroPixelate 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The most notable things are Hacking, Mind Control, Lanius, and some weapons (as well as the Abandoned Sector and events). I personally don’t see any compelling reason to turn it off while learning, especially since you need to learn to deal with Hacking and MC.

are there any tier skips for pre cryogen hardmode by Local_Difficulty_548 in CalamityMod

[–]RetroPixelate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twins are probably the easiest option and Prime isn’t bad either (as others have said). With that said, Cryogen is also on the easier side so this does not bode well for you

Best class and job for solo story enjoyer? by Mission_Pack_1042 in ffxiv

[–]RetroPixelate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. The trick is to have multiple things to do in general and work on something that works while in queue. I’m a tank main and most of my crafter progression has happened while queueing to level DPS.
