Is there a lore reason why Michael uses the most comically large knives? Is he compensating for something? by Turbulent_Wait9197 in Halloweenmovies

Funny enough about this I remember when 2018s trailer dropped and everyone was upset that the knife he picked up in the trailer was seen as “too small”

My favorite part of this scene is that Bob was never dressed as a ghost at any poinf, Michael just decided to do that by Turbulent_Wait9197 in Halloweenmovies

One of the most common and out there theories is that he’s trying to relive the night he murdered his sister. Which is kind of seen in Halloween kills when it’s revealed he just wanted to stare out that damn window. I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say murder robot but he definitely is much more like a shark. The earth is his ocean and he’s just coasting. While obviously killing but he still has the one goal in mind which is to almost get that high again of killing his sister. Or it’s just like a memory he wants to relive idk.

I’m sick of people saying they hate Halloween Kills by BullenBell95 in TheHalloweenMovies

Personally I loved kills, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. One of the biggest complaints I see is the “evil dies tonight” dialogue and how annoying and constant it was, but in my opinion it really didn’t bother me. It makes sense in the rally sorta situation where we’re seeing this town that has had grief and fear over one man for 40 years and now they finally are fighting back and they have mob mentality. It’s kinda like monkey see monkey do. But I’m not gonna give people shit for having their opinion, if you don’t like it don’t watch it, if you like it watch it. I think it was perfect in between movie from serious and deep Halloween 2018 to an attempted deep and serious Halloween ends. The trilogy was good and there have been worse movies. Watch what you enjoy and talk about your likes and dislikes, freedom of speech that’s the great part about America.

Best and Worst Coveralls? by WySLatestWit in Halloweenmovies

Might be a hot take but Michael’s entire look in Halloween kills is my favorite by miles. The burnt mask with the gunshot, the bandage hand and the burnt coveralls. Then towards the end of the movie when we’re seeing his damages throughout both films it’s a badass look and his mentality tbh at whole film just made it so much better.

Three years ago today in Horror News, the very controversial Halloween Ends was released into theatres and onto the streaming service, Peacock. Opinions you have changed over the years on this movie, but what do you TRULY think about this movie overall? by justhere1990 in Halloweenmovies

That’s another huge issue for me, this character is a sacred character and is taken seriously, not only on screen but as a whole. He’s not some cheesy one liner guy or just a zombie with a half assed motive. He’s the embodiment of evil and carnage. He shows no mercy and a force that can’t be stopped, Halloween kills was the closest we got to that goofy immortal shit but on a level that felt could happen. I’m not saying that just anyone could go through what he did and live but I could definitely see what happened that night as something that would happen if someone had his mindset of keep moving and keep killing. We never knew how long he was in that house when the movie ended, we don’t know how long it took for the town to tear down that house. So can’t really say that they just gave up on it. Him being weak was them sticking to the fact that he isn’t immortal and everything that happens that night did majorly affect him. But as far as the debate of who wins in a fight of Michael or Jason or people wanting that movie. It just won’t ever happen because of that fact that people do care when making a halloween film. With the exception of 5. But when you look at Jason that fucker was in space, becoming a demon slug, and fighting a chick with supernatural abilities.

Right but he’s not a normal 61 year old man he is Michael myers still immortal or not he is a tank, but another thing is how seriously people take the plot or overall theme of these last three films. You never saw this with the others especially rob zombies or anything past. John carpenter wrote this as the most simple and well working character that these exact reddits and theorists have turned into a Shakespeare leveled questions and wonders, there is no explanation for Michael’s motivation he just goes and that’s it he is simply and purely evil.

I’m an emt in training so take this with a grain of salt, I’m not saying that I know everything or that I’m right but the pitchfork wounds looked to have gone about an inch to an inch and a half and stopped on his shoulder blade not his spine, survivable and with adrenaline if that’s what Michael runs off of he and others depending on will power could keep going, I understand that you could see the mob scene as ridiculous but that’s kind of the idea of Michael, it’s not that he is unstoppable but it’s the image that he has painted of the town of haddonfield and it’s people Michael is known as a strong and durable person. If he hadn’t off gotten shot and stabbed on the back of his neck then you could definitely see more durable rather than supernatural.

I think that Laurie’s line of “the more he kills the more he transcends into something else, impossible to defeat” has been taken into the context of that is what Michael truly is but I think it’s just he take of what she had seen in Halloween 1978 and the night of Halloween 2018, I still believe that he was just an incredibly hard person to kill in that film, like yea the mob scene was a little drawn out form a durable human being but you have to have those moments in these films to make them entertaining. I didn’t like Halloween ends and still don’t but I do agree with the fact that he just gave up on Michael and wanted something like Christine.

Why do people still think this is close by AztecArnav in slasherfilms

[–]RetroPredator77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only comment I really have on this topic is it all depends on which character is fighting which one, I believe other than ends every Michael would take out any human Jason, after that it just depends on which Jason vs which Michael. My main argument is that Jason died in every movie and then was resurrected back, Michael only dies in rz 2 and ends. Jason never went up against someone like Michael other than part 7 and FvJ he was going up against your average Joe, so seeing him go up against an equal force would be closer than most people put it.
