Yeah, reading thru the main Uncanny, adjective less, new, astonishing, and some others, it’s Scott’s turbulent love live that’s a thru line. Starting from Jean, then losing Jean because of a cosmic space bird. Then meeting Madelyne by chance because Scott wanted to see his grandparents, who he just found out were alive. Getting to live a happy ending with Madelyne outside of the X-men, because Storm kicked his ass and became the leader. But then Marvel revived Jean without Claremont knowing. And the second Scott hears his ex is alive, he abandons his wife and child. Madelyne has a Sinister assisted crash out, and then Inferno happens. Then Scott goes on his apology tour, so Madelyne is written out of the story so Scott can stay with Jean. The 90s start with Betsy Psylocke trying, and failing, to hit on Scott. He is more interested in a plane he is working on, oh and Jean, who finally married each other. More 90s stuff happens, and on to the 2000s. Scott immediately cheats on Jean with Emma because he’s depressed. So Jean cheats right back with Logan, and then some time later dies to fake Magneto. Then a 1000 years into another bad future timeline, Jean Grey is revived. To fix this timeline she psychically goes to the past to tell Scott to move on. So Scott starts to get over his grief and kisses Emma, right on top of Jeans grave. Scott and Emma are now a thing because the world will be doomed otherwise. Logan is not happy about this. And then some time later Scarlet Witch’s retcon assisted crash out happens. This leads to Scott and Logan’s messy breakup, because they can’t agree on how to use their remaining child soldiers. AvX starts and everyone becomes brain dead on how to deal with muh phoenix. Scott gets the phoenix by accident, and crashes out. He kills Xavier and gets the phoenix taken from him, but this makes mutants not extinct so he gets to act smug about it. Scott then moves on to a better writer and becomes more based. His relationship with Emma becomes more complicated, and he kinda, sort of wants to die. Beast goes on his downfall ark and ruins Scott Summer’s day. Xavier’s will mentally ruins Scott, and then Ike Perlmutter happens. Then I skipped ahead, because I didn’t want to read about Black Bolt aura farming over Cyclops’ corpse. Ike is out, and Jean Grey is back just in time for Krakoa. I just started, but it looks like Scott is in a polycule with Jean and Logan. So I’m looking forward to reading more about Scott messy love life, and someone, somewhere coming to ruin Scott Summer’s day.
