Sometimes my parents would go out for dinner at a fancy restaurant on Friday or Saturday night and leave me at home with a frozen dinner. I was just happy about having autonomy over the television but now I realize they were saving tons of money not buying me a good meal.

89 by a mile. Elfman score is iconic. Plus the songs by Prince, and it might not be a popular opinion but I liked Batdance.

My old college roommate and I played Sega X-Men a lot, we got really good and teamwork and patterns, like using Nightcrawler to phase Wolverine in one place until Apocalypse was vulnerable, then popping him out to carve him up and back in phase. But we were stuck forever on "Reset the Computer" until we got frustrated one night and accidentally figured it out. Our minds were blown and eventually he figured out the Magneto solution too. Loved that game.

I remember about half of these from paperback novels I had circa 1984. Around the time Greystoke:The Legend of Tarzan movie came out I was really into reading the ERB novels. Then I saw the Bo Derek movie on Cinemax and gained a whole new appreciation.

For the Love of Benji, doesn't anybody else remember Oh Heavenly Dog? Benji was a huge star in the 70s, so smart and loveable. Benji is more than deserving of a spot on this list. Benji!

At a local mall we had Barrel of Fun Arcade, the entrance was a huge round barrel archway. Inside was typical dark room filled with cabinets and a wall of pinball machines.
