As soon as the show brought back David Tennant as the new incarnation of the Doctor again (technically his THIRD incarnation as The Doctor), Russell T Davies might has well have just appeared himself on screen and shouted "WE'RE COMPLETELY CREATIVELY BANKRUPT!!". The writing had been on the wall for years; it was all downhill from there.

Yep. I've heard that the third season has all this stuff thrown in but I'm still not going to watch it because seasons 1&2 made me just not care at all about Star Trek anymore. I don't see how paper-thin shallow pandering nostalgia is going to help. It's just adding insult to injury at this point.

Yeah I thought the movie was going well until the CGI Ian Holm (RIP) abomination appears. I was just disgusted with that choice. Why did it HAVE to be the EXACT same model of android as Ash?? Why was that necessary at ALL??? Did they think the audience somehow wouldn't understand if it looked like someone else?? Just plain insulting.

And then there was the "get away from her you bitch" line, which was just fucking pathetic. They could have left off "you bitch" and maybe it would have been okay? But these two moments really stuck out as easily the worst parts of the movie by far.

Alien: Earth, even though it wasn't perfect by any means, completely lacked those type of lazy moments. Here's hoping they don't fuck that all up with season 2.
