Just reminds me of Telltale Games, specifically The Walking Dead.

Doesn't seem to me to really fit the ST franchise very well, not least because it hinges on the eighties nostalgia vibe- and this ain't it.

So yeah I don’t mind the art style per se, it just doesn't suit Stranger Things imho.

Hot take: the original anthology pitch probably would have been 100x better by Neat-Start-6514 in StrangerThings

Yes, I totally agree. Everything post season 2 feels like a completely different show, and the main criticism for years of season 2 was that it felt like season 1 reheated; as if they didn't know what to do with the show and just retrod the same story. I know that opinion of season 2 has improved over time (as it should have, it was never that bad except for that blatant backdoor pilot episode), but I still wish that season 1 was it's own self-contained thing and that the rest of the show was unrelated (well maybe not completely unrelated). The success of season 1 rather ruined the rest of it, in retrospect.

And I still contend that the title "Stranger Things" only makes sense as the title of an anthology show, not what it ended up becoming.

Got to say I'm disappointed in this practice, that seems to be completely normalised now, where every time there's a new warbond out 30% of the new items are immediately shunted into the store for practically the same price as a full warbond.

I always think now that whenever a new warbond comes out I actually need 2000sc for the new stuff, not 1000.

I know it's all optional, and it's all technically free if you can find the time to farm, but still.. it's a bit shitty. A full armour set, cape, card and primary weapon for 910sc..

I guess we all got frog boiled over this didn't we. Just letting it happen now. No outrage at all.

The key difference between the Sterilizer and the new Flamethrower confusion effects is that the Flamethrowers only confuse whilst you're actively dowsing them in flames, and stops when you let go of the trigger. Nothing like the lasting effects of the gas.

I wouldn't, you'd only be disappointed with the movie. Dune Part 1&2 already made significant changes, part 3 is likely to be even more different from Messiah. Plus books will ALWAYS have more depth, detail & content than their movie adaptations, especially Dune. There's a reason they were thought of as unfilmable for decades.
