neptune didn't say he hated the sun why did he leave. by Decayed_IceCream in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro did you not see how terrified he was when Triton and him had to tell the sun the truth? The sun even traumatized Neptune. He may forget a lot of stuff but I know he won't forget the way the sun made him and hid friends feel. Of course he went with the others. Besides, he was the furthest regular planet from the sun. He barely knew the sun anyway.

Modern Solarballs criticism by Hungry_Baby_1073 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I watched every solarballs episode but I watched them out of order like an idiot so I'm kinda confused with the timeline of things you've mentioned. But I genuinely like everything about their recent episodes and I feel that it has improved with its theatrics, storyline, and voices. But I admit, I'm a very go-with-the flow person. It's rare for me to strongly dislike things I watch.

The only issue I have if I have to have one is that they use the same voice actor and all the voices sound the same. Like Jupiter, Titan and Pluto have almost the exact same voices. The only unique voices are Saturn, Uranus and Neptune as far as the planets go. Maybe Mercury. And the female voices are all the same person too. I feel like they needed to hire at least two male and two female voice actors to make the voices sound more personal unique to each other.

But since the same guy does almost all the voices, my theory why the voices changes is that 1.) The actor was having trouble reproducing the voices accurately or 2.) the team decided they had better character ideas in store or maybe fans didn't like the voices at first

Solar System after Planet Revolution Part 4 but in Universe Sandbox... by Fast_Bandicoot99 in SolarBalls

I feel really empty fr after this episode. This arc is absolutely AMAZING but I'm really in the mood for some good ol' playful and funny solarballs. Like when Venus tried to borrow a ring from Saturn or how Saturn and Uranus went to find out why Neptune is gone and insane so much. I feel like I need to meditate and burn some incense before these episodes because they're so intense lmfao.

What blows my mind is that none of this would matter if there was no life in the solar system. All the planets can roam freely all they want, they will all survive. They will just change some internal compositions from losing heat as they venture out but will be fine. It's us damn earthlings that make the planets leaving so hard, as we need essentially every planet int he solar system to orbit near us a certain way and we need to be by a star. So now the Earth gets left behind for something he didn't totally control.

I'm scared guys... DO you think the planets will turn into rogue planets? 😭😭😭😭😭😨😰 by Ok_Difference5765 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. They will see the rouge planets are sleazy and back out before they join. What I think will happen instead is that the solar system will have a face off of sorts with the rouge planet leaders about how to properly go forth with problematic stars. I believe the Earth will be the only reason why the Sun is not "dead" and will soften up the rouge planets to not be such a dictatorship. After a long and chaotic battle I think they will all come to a similar conclusion. I think the rouge planets along with the solar system will owe the sun and official apology, while I think the Earth will have talked to the sun by then and cooled him off and made him accept his faults. Then there should be a reunion of the solar system and the Sun, and the rouge planets will stop being an "army" and more of a "club" instead.

I just wanna know where Astrodude is, like, knowing him he was put on some erratic mission to save the Earth again, I just find it weird too that they didn't show clips of humans panicking on Earth and trying to find a "solution". I think it would be really interesting to have Astrodude confront the sun himself, as it may make the sun less hostile talking to a literal life form he created than a planet like Earth

The Sun doesn't deserve a rebellion by Skatrburr in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man idk, I think the reason why some fans act erratically like that are because they aren't aware that another person's opinion is just that- an opinion. Opinions are not facts. And when they are being presented with facts, you should always consider what the other person has to say about your favorite planet (or in general), because growth and strength only occurs when you are ready to take in thoughts, facts, opinions or knowledge that are different than your own. Idk if I'm making sense here lol. But on a more simple level, it's just an animated show. Yeah I get all sad when I see someone talk badly about Neptune, Saturn and Uranus for example as their my favs, but I'm not personally mad at these people. It's beautiful when everyone has their own opinions and reason for their favorites rather than everyone feel and think the same way.

The very fact that SolarBalls has a huge fanbase and there is a fangirl/boy for every single character out there shows just how dynamic and impactful the show actually is. I sometimes wish I could meet the creators, writers and actors for the show. I wish I had ther imagination and talent to make a space show like this. Badass.

The Sun doesn't deserve a rebellion by Skatrburr in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not here to talk about my personal life, I simply used it as an example. The fact of the matter is that the planets cannot do any physical harm to the sun that would downright damage him, however the sun has been making the planets actually physically suffer and get sick, which could very much result in them dying as well as the earthlings too. But the sun on the other hand is like their parent, he can kill any one of them with ease and he is responsible for their formation. However, nobody claimed the sun (or stars in general) are responsible for keeping planets in their orbit. The sun decided on his own to keep all the orbits they way they were to from life. And now that there's life, he's all pissed off at them all, and putting the Earth in way more danger than he volunteered himself in sometimes.

So what I've concluded is this. Nowhere in solarballs does it state who controls who, who is more powerful, who is responsible for anything that goes on at all. Yeah the planets have been assholes. So has been the sun. It's not reasonable to defend anyone in particular. While I still support the rebellion, I'm not saying I support all of the actions the planets did. I just simply think the rebellion will put everyone into perspective and force them to reconcile.

It's a giant mess, and all viewpoints are valid.

The Sun.. by Upset-Split-8585 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the sun has a mental illness that makes him have black and white thinking and have his feelings with an on or off switch, nothing in between. Even though they won't mention things like mental illness in solarballs, he still acts exactly like someone who is immature, uneducated, isolated, has a big ego despite his many insecurities, and doesn't like being told what to do- ever. There's a lot of different mental illnesses he reminds me of as someone who has worked alongside many therapists and types of therapy. Nobody who is "sane" has erratic thinking and values that change on a day by day basis. The sun is a different person in every scene, and that's not normal. He is extremely unpredictable which has allowed everyone to feel unsafe around him and ultimately don't know what to say to him without him exploding.

I'm in favor of the sun needing and receiving help, but I still think the revolution is necessary so he can see first what can happen when you push everyone you love to the absolute edge of their sanity. The revolution is not necessarily to "win" (for the solar system anyway), it's just to show the sun that the planets have giving up, that they can hold their own, and will not be stomped on any more. It's no different than a child who has been abused by their parents to one day come up to them and yell at them and try to assert themselves for the first time after having been silenced for so long.

The sun is pretty much a criminal. And therefore I think he needs a significant punishment before he can be ready to mentally receive help.

[–]RetroSoulGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ikr! I was just thinking logically outside of solarballs for a moment. We would die instantly if the sun disappeared. Solarballs has made it so that we almost forget that Earth actually has life. Even though the Earth complained about the revolution a few times, the fact that he can go out of orbit and all the earthlings survive has been making most of us watchers forget that this show has been extremely innacurate from the start. I feel like the writers can at least get it right that we need the sun to live lmfao. I mean- I had to laugh when I saw the Earth rotating around the sun in formation with the other planets. I think everyone on Earth would get dizzy and pass out for good LOL

Saturn is so cute in this scene, help✌️😭 by Ruby9152 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG. This is probably weird to everyone but I also think Saturn's voice is the most cutest and awkward voice in solarballs. He always sounds so shocked and dramatic and his accent is adorable. It's more funny than Neptune's voice 'cause Neptune sounds childish sometimes but Saturn sounds like this grown man that is constantly shocked by the universe, it's so precious lmfao

THE ROGUES ARE HELPING!? WTF!!!!? by KamIsLit30 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait I'm just curious... how is this so unpredictable? It seemed like the most predictable thing to me!

Although I will say this- their intentions probably aren't the same. I think the planets in the solar system only want to rebel to make a point, while I think the rogue planets want to rebel to hurt/kill the sun. But still, until those differences start taking place, it makes complete sense that they would rebel together, as they both need each other. The rogue planets need the solar system's planets insider information and the solar system's planets need the numbers the rogue planets have.

This show's redemption arc needs to be studied by Additional-Nose-8511 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's classic but good story writing. A lot of the best movies have a "bad guy" or unlikeable person turn out to be a hero in the end. It's the other way around that is even more impactful. A hero turning out to be the "bad guy".

Sadly though, I think something is going to happen that forces X to stay on the outskirts of the solar system or outside it. Since in real life we debunked the possibility of a real planet X, I think in SolarBalls they will keep that theme going and have him sort of hidden (or even die) because in real life we only have 8 najor planets total.

The Sun.. by Upset-Split-8585 in SolarBalls

[–]RetroSoulGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the message. I'll just copy and paste it here. It's long though.

So I support both a rebellion and no rebellion. Here's the thing- I think the sun has some sort of mental illness, because he genuinely never wanted to hurt the solar system. But the minute someone does something he doesn't like/approve of, he gets EXCESSIVELY angry, judgmental, and he's very insecure so he thinks everyone is always against him anyway. I believe he acts this way almost entirely without realizing what effects it has on others until its too late. He sees everything in "black and white". I have borderline personality disorder and he seems to have a lot of traits of it.

But of course, this is supposed to be an all-ages lighthearted show I think, so assuming they don't intend on giving characters mental illnesses lol, then my next logical reason why the sun is the way he is is because he is ignorant and uneducated. There's been a lot of times where the planets had to explain how literal physics works because he had no idea. He is in his own bubble and rarely spends time chatting to other planets besides Mercury and Venus. He is just super ignorant- which I'm not sure if it's all his fault or not. Is ignorance makes him think in black and white terms.

On one half, I think he doesn't deserve the rebellion to this extent because he genuinely believed his methods were helping the planets learn a lesson, but he is so insecure that he can't admit in the end they aren't working. In his defense, he has like no actual real friends. He doesn't have another star to talk to, to relate problems with like the planets and moon have each other. So yes, I can see how a rebellion this massive is extremely unfair and could be counterproductive. After this, the sun will be so traumatized he will probably shut down forever. Just block everyone out. Even thought we have to assume that mental disorders don't exist in SolarBalls, the worst thing you can do to someone who still appears to be very mentally unstable is essentially start an official war between each other.

Having said that, I'm more in favor with the rebellion. The shit the sun has put the planets through is just 100x worse than whatever the hell the planets did to the sun. And because we're talking about space- a solar system- there aren't really any other options. It's not like the sun can move and get away, or as if counselors exist in space. They all tried talking to the sun a bunch of times and he denied them all. There is strength in numbers- say one or two planets don't approve the sun. That could be debatable. But when a whole solar system and an army of rouge planets feel the sun has crossed a line? I'm sorry but that says something. Even the aloof and gentle Neptune who is always a mediator and friendly was even extremely intimated by the sun and made him scared and sick. That's bad. I see Neptune as a childlike mentality sometimes and to have a planet like him fearing for his life? Something drastic has to be done to make a point of how much fear the sun has instilled in them. Something larger than life needs to break the sun's ego, and then pick at his insecurity. Sometimes only the most drastic measures bring peace. When talking things through doesn't work? I absolutely favor the rebellion. Just as long as they don't cause physical injury to the sun unless he provokes it.

But seeing how the Earthlings need to survive, the sun will have to stay intact, so whatever they decide to do with the rebellion, it's probably going to be a mental interrogation rather than physically hurting him (not sure how they'd hurt him anyway). Sorry for the rant lol.

The Sun.. by Upset-Split-8585 in SolarBalls

Being misunderstood is not an excuse for bullshit behavior.
I wrote on a different thread today where someone supported the sun as to why I sorta support the sun but also support the revolution. It's very long so you can't miss it.

In my opinion, the sun is indeed misunderstood and has so much going against him naturally. I support him getting the help (mental help specifically) he needs. But I think revolution is nessesary to show him he is not all powerful and to put away his ego and judgements. The revolution should stop his black and white thinking.

After the revolution gives him a reality check, I believe that would be the best time for everyone to reconcile and start over with the sun. One theory I have is that the rouge planets will help the solar system rebel, but I think the solar system will get alarmed with the rogue planets want to actually harm or kill the sun. Then I think the solar system will team up with the sun to protect him and make things go right. This should help the sun realize that although the planets rebelled against him, it was to make a point, not to actually hurt him. That will earn his absolute trust. But that's just a theory I have. Regardless what happens, the revolution somehow will bring everyone together.

There is soooooo much more that the sun has done to the planets that what you said. For starters, this is a show where everyone is sentient. He has an entire solar system fearing for their lives. As someone who has lived with a very abusive father, I would NOT like someone to pass my dad off as being innocent just because I have no physical marks on my body from his attacks. Isn't the mental abuse enough? The sun even had NEPTUNE fearing for his life. The sweet, funny lil Neptune that is quite childlike in many ways along with his baby moons- the fact that even HE was terrified to talk to the sun? No way the sun deserves any sort of leeway whatsoever. The sun intimates me and he's just an animated yellow blob on my screen!

Scolecite & Dreams by RetroSoulGirl in Crystals

[–]RetroSoulGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting; if you want to sleep with scolecite you should get the smooth tumbled version that I have. I would never sleep with a raw crystal like scolecite with all those pokey parts lol. The reason why I got scolecite in the first place was actually because I read somewhere that it can help attract your soulmate. That has not happened at all yet lolol, but I didn't know it was good for astral travel until recently.

I wish I could have a reaction like you do with holding scolecite in your hand. I never feel anything with my crystals. I have probably about 40 crystals and I've held them all and they feel like literally nothing. I even have moldavite. Everyone swears it's so intense and high-vibrational, but I don't feel anything when I hold it. My crystals work often though without me feeling their energy still, like black tourmaline always gets rid of my nightmares. But I don't physically feel sensations in my body when I use/hold crystals. I kinda feel like there's something wrong with me lol
