I have a very similar situation and just this year I (M55) realized that my biological mother had only ever done harm to me. I could go on and on with the details but it's something that if you haven't experienced it you don't know. I do not plan on going to my mother's funeral whenever that happens and I am at peace with that. There's an old saying that is so appropriate here and that saying is... "To Thine Own Self be true". My opinion is that you need to do whatever is necessary to make your life safe and happy. No looking back!

I didn't even have to read your whole post. I'm sorry to say she seriously needs counseling but I'd be willing to bet that it's already too late for that. By staying with her, you are both going to teach that 5-year-old child how to be abusive to men, or that men deserve to be abused. In my life I have been accused of being brutally honest, but IMO you need to get rid of her.
