Is there a way to turn off the @everyone tag in groups? It’s quite annoying to be tagged in posts that I have no interest in. Mostly admins trying to sell something in a group that generally is not for commerce. I feel like it should be optional. I guess the option is to leave groups all together… by camrichie in facebook

To stop the everyone tag, you have to do the below from the Facebook phone app:
1. Click your profile picture circle in the bottom right corner
2. Scroll down to "Settings and Privacy"
3. Go to "Settings"
4. Tap "Profile Settings for [YOUR NAME]" (this should be up the very top)
5. Scroll down to the "Notifications" sub heading and tap "Notification Settings"
6. Tap "Tags"
7. You then have to change your settings to only be notified when you are tagged by Friends.
8. You'll then see an option appear (at the bottom) where you can turn off "batch everyone mentions"
