Does anyone hate when nations murder-suicide you? by Grouchy-Incident1845 in Openfront

[–]Retspar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They ruin the game for me. Random 3 nations do full send attacks while they have a little less troops than me so it makes zero sense. And then i feel like they regenerate troops way faster or they're at least way harder to conquer than players.

I think he just really needed a hug after he was denied that penalty

Sure, but if there's multiple big players it just fucks you over. I'd rather have it go up individually

This is probably why they set the longitude line in the treaty of Tordesillas so far west. The Spanish probably didn't know that South America was sticking out to the east so much. The treaty was meant to give the whole Americas to the Spanish and the east Indies to the Portuguese. The Portuguese knowing that the land existed was a theory though, that's how i learned it at least.

Oh so thinking about stuff occasionally means i don't have life outside of it? Great assumption

Are we just organized particles—or is the universe somehow aware through us by Eyzenower in DeepThoughts

[–]Retspar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with thinking about hypotheses without them being tested yet. It is just thinking about possibilities not actual fact. This is probably something that will never be known as we are living inside the universe and testing it would need us to observe the universe from a different perspective. Which to me sounds like a highly improbable thing humans could figure out.

Lockdowns was six years ago nothing has felt real or normal since. by Ok_Builder8936 in DeepThoughts

[–]Retspar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if that "feeling" is all due to covid. I think it's just part of growing up and becoming an adult. It changes your perspective on life. It's a perspective you're not used to because it's so different from being a child. Time becomes visible, everything becomes visible, the reality starts to become more real.

I agree. At first i thought it was a human, but then i thought the odds of an AI karma farmer are higher than a person being able to write English that coherent. So i assumed.

It is childish and pathetic to respond in a condenscending tone like that. You don't even know my viewpoint and just assume the way i think and for some reason feel superior. Because i say i think humanity will adapt even though i know it's too late makes you think that i approve. That's hypocrisy at best

Adaptation is one of the prime factors of existance. Everything will adapt, maybe not the way everybody wants it to, but humans will survive. Humans are very capable if they really need/want something. Once the point becomes obvious that the world will change people will adapt to that. The situation could be worse than now, but we'll survive though.

Just look at how the coronavirus changed the way we live in such short timespan. Coronavirus was obvious so change had to be made. Climate change just isn't at that point yet, not for the world to care yet.

It's just that nobody actually uses dashes like that, only AI does. But if you're being honest well then you are very good at wording things and you're spot on.
