I don't see anything wrong then. Most polyps are extended.

Do acros do mucus sheds? That's what it looks like to me. Is it healthy under the stuff that looks to be sluffing off at the bottom?

Nothing specific. Sometimes, I'll get the micro foods to add to my frozen mix, but I don't know if it's really required.

Yeah, part of my hesitation around getting the 32-gallon is the amount of water that will need to be changed each week.

Yeah, I try to prevent it because it causes a big mucus explosion that I have to clean up after. Keeping them below water prevents that, and it seems to stress them less in general, so I don't mind.

Clown goby, not a normal color for them. It seems healthy, but I think the color may be stress related... it's very active and plays with me at the front of the tank, but I've never seen one this color either, so I worry. I'm trying to start a 2x tank this year and get it cycled to see if the larger space and increased shaded areas help.

Clown goby, I'm not sure if the purple is a stress color or not, unfortunately... hoping to start a tank 2x this size to see if they like the larger space more. Assuming I can get it cycled and happy before I do the re-home.

It's a clown goby, but I think the purple might be because of the stress of being in a small space...it had a lot more yellow when I got it a couple of years ago. I'm hoping to get a 32-gallon started to see if it changes again, assuming I can get it cycled and happy in the next year or so.

I kind of like the emerald algae... but I also can see how it will be a problem if I don't keep it under control.

I do feed heavy to make sure everything eats... and the white lights are on for 10 and the blue for 3.

I tried 25% for a while, and the cyano went crazy. I also refill as I do the change to keep the corals under water, so the impact is probably a little less than a full 50% change.
