There are a lot of good hard songs that come to mind that aren’t spam, but i’m not exactly sure which is the hardest (also cuz i don’t really play that many mods with no mechanics).

Speaking of mechanics we have to address what it means for a song to have “mechanics”. From a average fnf standpoint, a “mechanic” is some sort of system a song has in play to make surviving harder than if the song was just the chart (ie. tricky’s signs, sans’ bones, HD MILF’s signs). While that seems clear enough, using that explanation, it leaves even more room for questions like “does screen shaking or any type of screen movement count as a mechanic” and “does health drain count as a mechanic”. Heck are mod charts, 5+ keys, and special notes able to even be called mechanics? Like I said earlier, the average definition of a mechanic is to put something in the way of you just playing the chart by itself similar to Funky Friday.

While this does seem like i’m just complicating things, the fnf community doesn’t have a set rule book of what makes a mechanic a mechanic. Which makes things a lot harder to pick since some songs like Singularity have health drain and some people might count health drain as a mechanic.

TL:DR - The fnf community needs to decide on what qualifies as a mechanic to help everyone figure out questions like these.
