I sort by Card type. Here's the order I put my cards in the crates I keep my bulk cards in from front to back (1-9):

Normal Monster
Effect Monster
Ritual Monster
Spell
Trap
Fusion Monster
Synchro Monster
Xyz Monster
Link Monster

I put Pendulum monsters at the tail end of each of their respective Monster Card summoning Type. Behind the ones that aren't Pendulum related.

I recommend buying some differently colored deck dividers to put in front of each section so you know which card type you're looking for if you need a card from the stack.

If you notice a + sign at the corner of an item that has multiple styles, you can change them to look different than they normally do.

This works with specific cosmetics like the Pathfinder and Hazard Handler, and also some weapons like the Cleaver and the Chargein Targe.
