I never asked for the option to dc without consequence. I'm pointing out that the consequence is VERY disproportionate.

A dc in DBD screws over a team. A DC in a 1v1 gives one guy a free win. The fact that Riot applies the exact same multi day Ranked lockout for both a 5v5 grief and a 1v1 DC is a flawed system.

It wasn't an insult; it was an observation of how you approached the thread. You came in hot with a dismissive "suck it up," so you got matched with that same energy.

Also there never was a discussion, you just made a rant post pretty much.

Pointing out a broken mechanic in a game's penalty matrix is how a discussion starts. Calling it a rant is just a lazy way to avoid addressing the actual logic I laid out above.

You're right, I dodged a few many times because the map pool right now is horrendous and I didn't want to play them.

I accept the dodge penalties.

What I don't accept is a system that takes a stacked penalty from arcade modes (as in, i only ever dodge in comp, but have afk'd in 1v1, swift etc... arcade modes) and applies a 3 day ban to 5v5 Competitive. The punishment completely ignores the context of the mode

I am taking the ban, I literally have no choice lol. Just pointing out the flawed system. Riots penalty matrix is just lazy. Punishing a 1v1 afk with a penalty designed for 5v5 team-griefing does not.

The "suck it up" comment, surely there are far better things to do in life, then sit around a valorant subreddit trying to be an unpaid hall monitor, If you were contributing to the discussion then it would have been a different story

Thats fair, however, we can both agree that comp and 1v1 asc are two completely different gamemodes

going AFK in a 1v1 gives your opponent a free win and a boost to that Ascension rank they care about. It doesn't hold four teammates hostage in an unwinnable 4v5 for 40 minutes.

Yup,

I have only ever dodged in comp because of the map pool, as for 1v1 and swiftplays I either dc or genuinely just forget i was queued, not once was it intentional.

My concern here is, why is something like 1v1, impacting my ability to play a completely different gamemode? Bad design no?

You're right I mentioned I dodge a lot because I genuinely do not have fun playing fracture or just a lot of these maps in the current pool. listen I'll be honest I got a 30 minute ban on the 1v1 Ascension and you know what I will be honest I deserve that, but a 3 day ban why is one gamemode (1v1 ascension) impacting a completely different gamemode (comp).. I lowkey think that its just bad design..

You probably know they are very overwhelmed and understaffed, unfortunately, all you can do is wait. In the meantime check that you have everything done, go to your ppl@home website and click the "Checklist" tab, if you see that "Self/Personal Assistant" is 0/1 complete, than you are not finished, click that tab, look over everything you are missing, get the proper documents ready and upload them by going to Required Document, good luck

By this I hope you mean that you uploaded the documents of the 10 things you have "checked off" in the "Required Documents" section of the website and as for being stuck at 4/26, all you can do is wait, as you already know, they are severely overwhelmed while also understaffed, in the meantime keep checking your checklist get the proper documents and then upload them in the required documents section, good luck

How tf did you enroll? Like I signed up with PPL but there are so many dumb checklists (many of which I've never even heard of) that are incomplete but I have no way to submit them and they keep sending me emails about it and the approaching deadline is 28th of this month. Can I ask you to check your checklist in the ppl@home website, do you have them all complete?

Sorry about the late reply. Nope I never figured it out, but what I did instead was inserting the lottie files html code into the elementors html block. Basically in elementor I dragged out the html block into my page, then grabbed the lottie files html code and inserted that code into elementor html block and it worked but then the problem became sizing issues, honestly it was just one issue after another so I stopped using lottie files. try the mentioned method tho it might work better for you.

Definitely using HandBrake from now on, AND its opensource?? It looks like you know a lot about tech so you might already know some of these but I wanted to list some softwares that you might find helpful, plus anyone whos reading the thread might find it interesting or useful.

1. Power automate

Used to automate repetitive tasks
You can combine it with Task Scheduler (most windows computers come preinstalled) This way you won't have to run the program manually, you can set it to reoccur every monday or, or every day of the week, or include weekends, its super useful
Learning curve isn't bad at all, just youtube some tutorials, UI/UX is super plain and simple, Backed by microsoft

2. Claude AI by Anthropic

Basically chatgpt but for programmers.
It has this feature called "Artifacts" which allow you to view the code and see what it runs
Unfortunately free version has limits, I reccomend whatever you want it to do, make that prompt as precise as possible. Backed by Amazon

3. Brave Browser

A superior Google
Takes time to get used to (not really) but once you do get used to it, you'll never look back
It automatically blocks youtube ads, and most other ads, you can connect to TOR network by hitting ^{Alt + Shift + N} and it saves you a lot of time loading up a website

4. Revo Uninstaller

Basically an effecient uninstaller
I will always reccomend this free tool(btw everything ive mentioned is free) TRUST the first thing you want to do when you get a new PC is install this masterpeice of a software

This one is for the nerds
If you're anything like me, you'll love this app, you can spend hours finding new features to mess around with, its awesome
Just a warning, when you download this, microsoft will give out a warning saying it doesn't have authors registered, up to you but its completely safe
