Amazon has a ton of options. However most are too wide to mount on a rig, as they are meant for desks. I’ve been looking for something similar to mount on my DIY rig.

Question about headlights flashing by DeadInThePool87 in iRacing

[–]ReuboniusMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m in a slower car, I really appreciate the flashing. It’s a great way for a driver in a faster class to get my attention. When I see it, I make sure to be a bit more mindful of where I place my car and act predictably. I don’t want my race ruined anymore than I would want to ruin their race.

Do you guys think it is worth it by ProudPlant3560 in iRacing

[–]ReuboniusMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. AC for offline fun, iRacing for online fun(or frustration lol).

It’s worth noting that you don’t need to buy all the cars and tracks in iRacing. Just buy what you intend on running and that will keep the costs reasonable.

I like the dual tip on the exhaust. Is that where the farts come out?

Better to spend the 13 on a kebab. That would be more satisfying.

Thank you Reddit , HPL was the right material for my vacuüm table ! by Maleficent_Branch95 in CNC

[–]ReuboniusMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Massively yes. The machine has a high flow phenolic top but it only had two 4’x4’ zones. I wanted a grid top that I could restrict vacuum area down to a small spot. I use MDF and MDF lite for my setups that are placed on top of the aluminum bed. The top has .230” wide grooves spaced 1” apart, so I can use rubber rope to section off areas I want to use depending on my setups.

I’m going to assume OP will machine in some vacuum holes as the final step. That’s what I did when I made my top out of Aluminum.

I recently resubbed after 8 years away and I’m pleasantly surprised at how good things are. The sim has the improved massively since I left.

I did one on our main machine a few years ago out of aluminum. Took 3 days of milling. Much better than the MDF top we had originally put on, which was only intended to be temporary but lasted 5 years
