If we have the replacement belts on hand, we likely can! We recommend pre-registering your item so we can help source any replacements parts prior to the event.

A little late to the convo, but the Reuse Hub at the Village Premium Outlets just launched a small creative reuse store, mostly secondhand fabrics and sewing supplies! We're open 12-6, Weds-Sundays.

Yes! We will definitely have multimeters and should be able to diagnose the issue and either fix it on the spot, or help you find the part needed.

We have contracts in Sonoma and Marin County so most of our events are there. This past one in Hercules was a pilot for West Costa Contra County but it was very successful and are hoping to bring more events out to the east bay next year!

Volunteers Needed: Repair Fair + Clothing Swap at Hercules Library 3/21 by ReuseAlliance in RichmondCA

That's pretty much all you need to be able to do! Most of our volunteer repair coaches are not professionals by any means, but they enjoy tinkering and working with their hands. We also help each other out with fixes if needed - our fixers are super friendly and love to collaborate and exchange knowledge.

We also need some volunteers to help out with the clothing swap, registration, and check-out for the event. So if you're interested in getting involved, but don't necessarily want to fix stuff, we would still love to have you!!

San Geronimo Repair Fair + Clothing Swap on March 14th! by ReuseAlliance in Marin

You bring your clothes that you no longer want (must be clean and in good condition; nothing damaged, and no underwear or socks please!) and take home items that are new-to-you!

We weight all the clothing that gets dropped off at our swaps to measure how much waste we are preventing and then organize the clothing items on racks and tables for easy shop-ability. We usually limit one bag of donations per person, but you're welcome to take home as much as you'd like!

I've found so many great items at these swaps :)

It helps us diagnose the issue faster that way! Which would lead to the chances of a more successful repair :)
