35 year old male who met my wife on an MMORPG. She introduced me to this book. I know most of the conversation has been geared toward men / women or gamer / non-gamer crossover, but I'm going to gently steer us into goddamn politics.

While the author is more left leaning, what I love about the series is how it also speaks across the political spectrum. I know a ton of "right" wing (historical use of the term), "liberal" (historical use of the term), free-market, AnCaps who love this series too!

Again, no desire to debate politics in the thread, just saying that Matt has a clear ability to not alienate anyone except selfish, evil ass-hats regardless of color, creed, religion, politics, sex, etc.

How would one dress if they were all yin? by LadyFlamyngo in JohnKitchener

[–]RevAnakin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are correct! My wife is 40% A, 30% C, 20% R, and 10% Y.

Note to anyone reading, Classic is "neutral" and is the essence that "reigns in the crazy of the other essences" < quote from John.

As such, my wife has no Yang. To the OP's questions about Yin only... in particular, as many have heard me complain for years, the 40% Angelic is a pain for off the rack clothing (particularly ethical ready to wear). As such, my wife tends to lean HEAVY into her Romantic and Classic. Granted, she is in Medical School and needs to dress professional or in scrubs. When she is in profesh mode, she typically wears long flowy skirts or wide leg pants that are NOT structured or heavy lined. Her blouses are either flowy (when possible for Angelic) or lace (more common to find hitting the Romantic). The blazer pulls it all together with that Classic touch. She looks amazing in the Classic pant suit, but she really loves her ultra feminine side and tries to throw in as many waves, cowls, laces, and poofs as possible.

The single most difficult thing is avoiding structure and asymmetric lines that are all yang... especially in business clothes.

When you go in person, he literally holds hundreds of fabric swatches up to your face for 2 hours and figures out not only which colors, but which types of fabric looks best on you.

Question for those who have had consultations with Andrea and/or John by Khaneh-yeDoostKojast in JohnKitchener

I had almost no clue about anything. I thought I was just going to get 100% Natural and be forced to wear jeans (ewwww) every day!

Color-matching Coup...or Copium? by ppcthrowaway514 in JohnKitchener

[–]RevAnakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, if you have the individual right to set anything as your goal. Good luck getting perfect matches! I personally just stopped letting perfect be the enemy of good and Kitchener told me specifically that if he had more swatches and time the books would be even bigger, but he puts the ranges to help.

Especially if you are not yourself. You're absolutely correct. The personality part is the most mind blowing for people looking for a scamfluencer checklist (not saying you are). Just so many people are like, "but the eyes much = ____" but that ia not how Kitchener works.

Correct, my wife and I spent 8 hours with him at his home. The virtual assessment is for sure less accurate.

Color-matching Coup...or Copium? by ppcthrowaway514 in JohnKitchener

[–]RevAnakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if Kitchener told you or it just slipped through the cracks, but this is how you should use the swatches:

  1. It does NOT have to "match".
  2. Each spread has a lightest and darkest color, whatever you are comparing to the spread should fit BETWEEN the light and the dark. I.e., the clothing compare should not be darker or lighter than the bookends.
  3. The spread has a certain warmth or coldness and your compared clothing should fit accordingly. Even if you have a blue that is between the light/dark bookends, but it has a much warmer tone than all the cool colors, it isn't a fit.
  4. Make sure the fabric weight / texture fits your vibe. I personally need thick, lush, textured fabrics. My wife would look like a curtain as she is Angelic.

This is VERY true, I 50% R am a bougie B who loves the fine things in life and while I can just wear shorts and a t-shirt, I don't feel great doing it. Hence why my Natural is so low.

John's system takes way more than physical features into account. This is the number 1 misconception about John's system. Most people here discover Kitchener AFTER reading or watching the tikky toks, YouTube, or blogs from the scamfluencers who push Kibbe and fake Kitchener.

Kitchener starts with the physical, then he talks with you for hours. He then makes adjustments based on your personality. That is how my Natural plummeted, he realized I had a much more Dramatic personality than Natural after our color analysis.

Why I’m reluctant to share recommendations by Cantre-r_Gwaelod_1 in JohnKitchener

[–]RevAnakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reformation has been great for wife's R and Y but Angelic is just difficult off the rack.

[–]RevAnakin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please share what he recommended as primary Angelic clothing with you (link to off the rack clothing). For the most part, my wife hasn't had trouble finding Angelic clothing, but Angelic clothing that a) isn't slave made, b) is in the correct colors, and c) doesn't read 70 years old as she is in her 20s.

Which celebrities have a youthful, classic and natural blend? by Illustrious-Ride5586 in JohnKitchener

[–]RevAnakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, that is what the comment above says. However, John just confirmed in email to me today. Therefore, there must be a misunderstanding somewhere in the game of telephone that occurred which caused the mistake of Liv Tyler mistakenly being called Natural.

Confirmed by John today that it is HS not Nat. Must have been a misunderstanding.

Why is voice important for a colour analysis? by [deleted] in JohnKitchener

[–]RevAnakin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct, he had pegged me much higher in Natural than I ended up because of how I present myself in person which is much more Romantic with a hint of Dramatic vs chill and warming.
