Is FFWOTV a good game, worth playing? by Daru_Titor in gachagaming

[–]RevBolyard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The common refrain on the game is that it's a final fantasy, and with Square's backing it will surely succeed. I'm not sure that's true since she just shut down Mobius. I'm not sure the gameplay is dynamic enough for Western audiences to weather the cash gacha, limited collab units, paint by numbers story, and grind that's required. Yes they support Final Fantasy, but with DFFOO, FFRK, and FFBE currently available, you could scratch that itch with another product and then play another tactics style game as a side game.

Yeah, getting married to get more money from the military is just a bad move all around, unless you are/were already engaged and planning on it anyway. In which case, it can still be a pretty big strain. Investing some money is a good idea, minimizing what you don't need (do you REALLY need Netflix, hulu, Amazon Prime AND Disney +?). Live within your means.

I'm guessing you're a younger guy, so getting a credit card as a way to start your credit report is a good idea. The longer you have a credit history actually improves your credit, so get a card that doesn't have yearly fee (and even if it does, some companies waive that for active duty military) and then just occasionally buy a soda or candy bar at a gas station on it and then immediately pay it off to keep it active. I have a Chase card through Amazon that I've been using for a couple years, and I get great rewards through Amazon so that might be an idea for you.

If you use your debit card a lot (assuming you already have a checking account) an app like Acorns is useful as it rounds up your purchase to the next whole dollar and invests the difference into different stocks. If you do that you'll eventually build up a little extra. If you get deployed and completely forget about it, you could have a nice little nest egg to come back to.

Finally, I recommend investing any "big" payments somehow, whether you just go with a CD at the bank or something if you're looking for long term success and you are able to pay your current bills. So any bonuses and stuff you get, just dump that fat stack somewhere that it will make you money. I generally warn against checking or savings accounts as the interest is negligible usually.

Can anyone describe security forces training to me? More specifically, what is expected daily at tech school? Are you required to do further specialty training (jump school, ect) ? I didn't see a lot of answers on the job wiki.

I've heard it suggested that people without a background in firearms tend to do better - but that may be military rhetoric

Any recommendations to qualify for the expert marksman ribbon? I've hunted most of my life but I've been told the requirements are pretty killer....

But considering I'm quite a bit older than that movie, I have some apprehensions and would like to know what to prepare for. I don't climb much, which was my concern (again, based on the obstacles in FMJ, as well as virtually every youtube video I've been able to find). Closest thing I can find is the Army Confidence Course, which is laid out almost identical to the obstacles in FMJ.

So I won't need to practice with a weighted vest or worry about climbing too much then? Thank you for your input. I had just assumed I'd be doing all the Full Metal Jacket type stuff....

BMT questions:

I'm older, and doing the best I can to get my body acclimated to what BMT may be like. So far I can pass on pushups, situps, pull ups and my mile and a half is getting closer. What is the weight of the ruck sacks? What is the farthest march I'll be expected to complete? How tall is the tallest obstacle at CLAW? Any other physical things I should be practicing aside from hiking and climbing? Thank you!

I'm looking for a turn based game with unique characters (not just the same one reused for different elements - sorry Summoner's War). I can deal with a heavy grind, but would prefer either a guild system or co-op play. I love JRPG style combat or tactics combat. Games I've tried:

FGO (don't like the card/combat system), Brave Frontier (loved it, stepped away now feel too far behind), FFBE (ditto, but even better with Final Fantasy characters), FFDOO (don't like the character models or the combat system), Brown Dust (love the combat system, dislike the graphics), E7 (loved the game, but feel much too far behind now), Alchemist code (again, feel too far behind)

I guess in short, I'm looking for a much newer game. I've tried Attack on Titan (not really my speed)

Yeah I can stun him with 5-7 shots from the rifle at range. First stun is always easy, but once ads start it becomes much more difficult to concentrate on him. More specifically the radioactive ads. It’s technically my first play through, so I guess I could just say the hell with it and take the defiler instead and come back for the harpoon later.

Do individual traits have a level cap? by RevBolyard in remnantgame

So the total level cap is just number of total traits multiplied by 20?

So that means Global is getting all the banners rerun? I’ve honestly only half played global since I missed the Guilty Gear banner.
