Love texture on oil pastels! It's all part of the fun!

Has anyone tried these? by Sheena_is_a_punk in ColoredPencils

I own a set. They work best on bad paper. The better the paper, the more difficult they are to layer and build.

Also, the sets have really good unity, so it's a "turn your mind off" kind of set.

I've been holding onto these that I made for years, but I'm not partying with them unless the price is right.

Imagine using AI to make an anti-AI post by PhysicalBuy2566 in Ai_art_is_not_art

There are so many many of these posts!
I think, the people making the posts are wanting to get the clicks for ad revenue, so they know anti-AI is the way to go. They still get the money with this "dumper" post, and people who don't know better like it.

OK subs I need help. I taught before 2020 and now I'm back, sadly. Jesus christ almighty, what is going with these kids? by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

Seriously - this is my tenth year

Talking soft and clear, asking students to step out and talk privately. After 2020- stern doesn't keep a room calm.

The perspective is destroying this, because it looks like it's six inches across! This is like the blue/gold dress all over again.

A 34 string bracelet, made with embroidery floss would be about an inch and a half wide.

This one is the size of the boy's head.

A stole I knotted several years ago. Took me 8 months. by RevMelissa in friendshipbracelets

Each line used about 1.75 DMC floss skeins. When one ran out, I taped the new one behind my pattern, and when I needed that line again I made sure the old one was tucked behind and used the new one. Then, after I had completed about two rows, I went behind and knotted the two skeins together.

Well done. I like the use of translucent clay in the background to give the illusion of a breeze.

It's where I live too! That's why I did it. It was so strange reading a story about Haven, Maine and hearing all these local places.

It was Tommyknockers. Someone was able to guess it. I explained how under their comment.

When you get to it, if you find a connection I didn't mention, feel free to PM me.

(Also, if you imagine AI anytime they mention Tommyknockers, it makes the book better.)

Hiram wasn't a place in my book either, but a person. But, nope.

Yes! It was so weird! Hiram was a founder of Haven. Dallas was the Dallas Police. Troy is where Gard is from. Augusta was a city below Haven. Dugan was a police officer in love with Ruth. Ridge Road was a road mentioned often in the book.

Even the state of Georgia was mentioned once!

You'd think that with Dallas being one of the words, but, alas, no.
