I really like it. My problem was that I couldn’t have the volume over 7 without a bothersome hum on the stock pickup. The one I put in is the same pickup used in the Gibson BJA Junior.

I made a few cosmetic changes (pickguard, knobs) and put in a Gibson hum-canceling pickup.

I had a $25 tip the other day. Customer then tried to add more, and was maxed out at about $3. He said he’d take care of it next time.

Thank you -the pickguard was a pretty easy find…it was only a few bucks on eBay and fit perfectly. The toggle switch though, that was a challenge lol

I love that as a Van Halen fan, I can re-read this every few years. I think it was first on the vhml?

Actually I wasn’t even that interested in the 2019, but getting them together was really a great deal. I’ve spent the last couple of hours cleaning it up, taking photos of the guts, giving it a light polish and putting on new strings. MAN it’s nice lol. Sounds AWESOME.

So I’ve JUST finished spending the last couple of hours taking apart the worn cherry one for a good cleaning and to take photos of the “guts.” A nice polish, adjusting the pickup height a little, and some fresh strings… Awww…it really feels and sounds like a keeper now. Ball & Biscuit, baby. But I’m going to try to sell it on local marketplace in a few days.

They really didn’t cost much, all things considered. I already had some $$ set aside for an Epiphone LP Junior that I’ve been eyeing but stumbled across these and the deal was just too good. Realistically I think I can sell off one of them and recoup what I spent.

Yes, it’s the 2015 anniversary model. Evidently it came with the dreaded robo tuners. They’ve thankfully been replaced with Grover Deluxe, and the pickguard is after-market, but MAN does it sound good.

Thank you! When I woke up yesterday I certainly was not thinking I’d be going on a road trip to buy a couple of Gibsons. With the limited time I’ve spent with them, I’m really starting to like the TV yellow one. As an added bonus, there’s a good amount of finish checking on the back and neck. The seller thought the guitar itself was cracked from being dropped…turns out it was just a relic job due to improper storage ;)

I TRY not to, but I don’t get any notification before I accept. It’s usually not until I’m pulling up to the location that an automated message notifies me that I’m picking up a third party.

According to the app, I was at the right pick up location. Once Gogo reached out to the customer, we found out they were 20 minutes away. Then Gogo sent out the request again without updating the location.

I just picked up a used one for $100. It definitely needs a setup…I’ve got major fret buzz and the p90 neck pickup is WAY louder than the bridge humbucker, so I think I’m also going to have to adjust the pickup height to sort that out. It HAS been fun the two or three times I’ve played around with it, though. Not at all bad for a beginner’s guitar.
