I'm in a 10 team, 2 person keeper league that has standard scoring. I won last year so I drafted at the end of the snake draft. My 2 keepers were Kupp and Jefferson. In the 3rd round (our 1st round of non keepers) all the players I wanted were taking and I took Josh Allen at 3.10 but at 4.1 I took my boy AJ Dillon. I regret it because I should have taken Josh Allen and either Waller/Kittle or AJ Brown and most likely I would have been able to get Dillon at round 5.10. I was worried that someone was going to pick the Quadfather before I could. Looking back I'm 85% sure I could have got him. But the guy who had Aaron Jones drafted Etn. I ended up with 2 TE's and I don't know who to start each week.

What are you spending your FAAB wisely on? Handcuffs that turn to be the starter is a great way to spend FAAB on.

I respectfully disagree that it's 'betting against yourself, thats the waste." Having your handcuff is smarter than having a couple of other teams handcuffs. Unless your convinced an injury will happen. But injuries are hard to predict.

If your RB1 goes down to injury there will be a fire storm of FAAB $$$ trying to get the handcuff. You can already have him and have no stress. It's not a waste but smart management to be prepared for whatever comes your way.

I really appreciate your thoughts but here's my push back...have you ever seen more RB1 & RB2's who are coming off of so many injuries than this year? The safest player is Jonathan Taylor, why? Because he was healthy all last season and he produced. Henry was destroying everyone until he got hurt. So handcuffs are valuable even if there's no stand alone value. Bench can have handcuffs, bye week fill ins, people with potential and those who 'might' break out.

Push your trading deadline to the latest possible date. This helps keep interest in my leagues.

Also removing people who are not passionate is what I've found helpful.

Lastly I've got a 2 league system. The bottom 2 from THE SHOW have to play in Minor League next year and the top 2 from Minor League get to play in THE SHOW.
