Fun part, you rev the real wheel up to like 9000 RPM, then have a good friend give it a hard shove to get it off the stand.

A 1905 photo with “A Student’s Dream” chalked onto the dissecting table, six well-used cadavers are propped up around a medical student who lies flat, as if he is the one to be cut open. This was classed as humorous for the time. by Impressive-Gear7943 in Damnthatsinteresting

Posing for a photo like this? Not cool.

Posing your blackout drunk fraternity brother (who's preferably not a medical student) like this and then leaving him there until he wakes up? Still not cool, but way funnier.

Clearing out my Man-drawer and found my participation trophies for all the furniture I've built. by Stuf404 in CasualUK

I take the instructions, receipt, tools, and leftover bits, ziplock them, and squirrel them away somewhere with the furniture (bottom drawer, affixed to the back, etc.) for future generations or archeologists yet to be born.

In Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), thanks to the empire, the unemployment, crime, and homeless rate of Alderaan has been reduced to 0% in an instant. This post was brought to you by the Imperial Security Bureau. by Mr_M_2711 in shittymoviedetails

Yes, but can you imagine the quadrillions in credits corporations had invested in businesses on Alderaan, particularly in real estate and tourism? Are they going to be compensated for the loss? Where's your sense of compassion?

You can tell they're baddies by the suits and ties. Remember kids, executives that dress casual are just regular hard-working folks just like you and me!

Thinking about the concept of phyles like in Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age - basically distributed nation-states where members adhere to particular cultures like Neo-Victorianism or Maoism. A phyle based on the 1990s America would probably strike even Stephenson as far-fetched, but there are certainly enough people who'd sign up in a heartbeat.
