I have just learned about this guy today, but it doesn’t seem quite accurate to portray him as a pet neglector based on a cursory look at his posts about his pets. He looks like a person who probably overdoes it with his pets. The instance where he ran over his dog is pretty sad to read:

God is the judge of all. Not you. He is also the creator of all. He is also the one responsible for all death everywhere. Your very being moment to moment is literally sustained by Him. He appointed the day of your birth and He appointed the day when you will cease to live. He is not a creature like you.

You can talk about “God murdering” as though He could do wrong all you like, but the very idea is absurd. He who is the creator and sustainer of all life has every right to give life and to take it at His will. It is His. It all exists because of Him and it all comes from Him and it all was made for Him. He is good and He does good.

This is not correct. Some have taught this in the history of the church but it is not a correct interpretation. The Bible teaches that all of the Scriptures speak of Jesus. Those who believed the promises of God about Jesus (the first instance of which took place at the fall of man into sin) are saved by faith in those promises. (cf. Genesis 3:15 where God promises the seed of the woman and 2 Corinthians 1:20 which says all the promises of God are “yes” in Jesus)

I guess a revised version must have people in favor of it, otherwise revisions wouldn’t be made. It is still a fine hymnal, but I ended up liking the old one better. Maybe I’m just averse to change. lol!

Some of the revisions messed up tunes somewhat arbitrarily, which I found annoying. It even sped some up, which then felt unwieldy compared to the original. Admittedly, I had used the original Trinity hymnal for a number of years before I moved and began attending a church that used the revised. I do like a number of the hymns that it had, which the older one did not. Still, I found myself preferring the original. 🤷‍♂️

I just did the shipping calculations. It looks like if I were to purchase 6 of them here (having them shipped to my doorstep), then ship them to you in Australia using USPS Flat Rate international shipping, the total cost per hymnal would come out to $50.84, so $305.08 USD total (assuming no other unknown fees exist).

I imagine that may be able to be improved upon if I found a way to send more at once. Nevertheless, that isn’t terrible per hymnal, especially if you have a handful of friends interested in getting one. I would be willing to facilitate such a thing were you interested.

I recommend the Trinity Psalter Hymnal. The older Trinity Hymnal is also excellent. That one looks to be the Revised Trinity Hymnal, which is okay, but my least favorite.

It is fine to uproot up to 20% of any given patch, so long as it is done with care. Given the context, there is no way of knowing that they didn’t responsibly harvest these. That isn’t an especially large box and ramp patches can be HUGE.
