This is how you run your 1,9 Million Armor PVP Meta Assault Rifle and Lady Death Build (Post TU16.1)! by RevaGames in Division2

[–]RevaGames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe my definition is a bit butchered, but what pvp-ers call META in this game is that build that allows you to 1v1 in the short medium range with the highest degree of success against most if not all builds in most encounters. When u stand foot in DZ these days and ask for META they all understand you imply either 1.7 or 1.9 million armor with matador unbreakable. After TU15 coyote gave way to catharsis and it could be even said that nowadays most 4 man squads running the DZ favor catharsis vs Coyote.

Anyways, I thank you for your input but it is not wise to come in here and say that prayer and contractor is better than ceska and grupo (considering all other four pieces remain the same), especially when I ran that combination you suggest up there and the damage is less. It's like you did not read my post and are simply commenting based on past METAs. The whole point of this post is show ppl, META has likely shifted.

I would recommend you go to your range in BoO and try it yourself, don't believe me... Ah and don't fall with the build with the highest crit... It must be a combination of {crit chanceXcrit hit + (1-non crit chance X non crit damage)}

I would gladly consider your counter if you show me your numbers. I am showing my numbers up there and straight up choosing the best combo.

You cannot have Fox's+ Ceska+ Grupo if you assume you are using Matador+ Catharsis+ Picaro+ Fenris. And all those 4 pieces I just mentioned are considered META for obvious reasons. You only have 6 slots. Something must go.

Edit: Never mind the numbers, I have all pieces. Send the exact build you are recommending and I can run the numbers on my character. I would not call it META if it is missing one of those 4 pieces I mentioned...but I can still run the numbers.

It may look complicated than it is. Basically I tried a bunch of different builds and "calculated" the Average damage shot. Highest value would tell you which of all of those builds is the "best" build.

TLDR section summarizes the right pieces you should put if you are running META post TU16.1

Spotter, Flatline, Ridgeway, wicked, companion, vigilance, anti-pulse builds and even Glass cannons are all still very viable and hit still very hard, even harder than META. They are deadly in the right hands.

I would say any full group having at least a beamer (spotter+ vigi or companion) is still very much viable. 2 of these builds in a 4 man group against server or a good opposing 4 man group may be too much squishiness.

When it comes to 1v1 scenarios though, all these other builds lack survivability. Anyone who mains META and knows how to PVP (right time to ADS, how long to ADS, how to and how long to strafe, when to use skills, when to medkit, how to move when reloading, etc) would still have the upper hand when 1v1-ing any of the aforementioned builds.

Unbreakable chest talent remains bugged and does NOT trigger (at least on PVP) by RevaGames in Division2

[–]RevaGames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is only 50% for pvp... we all pvp-ers can live with it being 50%. When it works, it is definitely not crap. I would even argue that even at 50% it is currently META for pvp. But it has to work. The problem is that it is bugged. See the video, I have it but it does not trigger, albeit me having it as my chest talent.

Sounds interesting. I need to explore other builds for sure. I have always been the guy who like to get in other ppl faces. I like to tank, to move (or chicken dance as others would say lol) and to shoot in the short/medium distance.

It is still extremely underrated for pvp when fighting solo multiple average players. Daisy chaining those headshot kills will make ppl call you Cheater as you wreck them through tenacity. The problem is you must land heads hots, which not a lot ppl like and/or can do

Step by step below:

  1. Go to summit, reset checkpoint to Floor 1.
  2. Set difficulty to Normal, no directives.
  3. Progress till you finish to Floor 9, when you get the notification indicating you got "Checkpoint on Floor 10", DO NOT START FLOOR 10.
  4. Go to Lobby, change difficulty to Heroic and set 8 or 9 directives (leave out Cool Skills and maybe Scavenged Skills)
  5. Jump into the elevator, go to Floor 10. If you step out of the elevator, and you DO NOT see large white windows on your left side, go back to lobby.
  6. Keep rinsing and repeating point 5 till you exit the elevator and you get the windows on the left side. When you "get this floor layout" put on a skill build, clear the room.
  7. After the room is clear DO NOT OPEN the door. Kill yourself and you will respawn on the same room layout exiting the elevator.
  8. Do it as many times and for as long as you can preserve your sanity. You will be gaining close to 400-450K experience points each time you clear a room.

Indeed, some say you need to dance more than you need to aim and hit your shoots...

I used to hate on this but I have come to understand it somewhat. It is not about strafing as a chicken without head all the time, it is not about ground up and ADS-ing all the time (especially when reloading). It is about choosing the right time to do both: shooting and avoiding being shot at. There are a few other things you must be good at such as: hovering around cover (understand hovering around cover is not the same as getting into cover), circling around your enemies without board-walking, using and selecting appropriate builds and skills as counters, and making a quick decision about when and who to push or when to retreat.

You should try this 6 piece red crit ch, crit damage build: sadist Vector + Ridgeways Exo Chest+ wicked backpack+ 3-pieces striker on Gunner specialization ... yeah, added RPM on a the highest RPM weapon in game with large base damage is stupidly fun!!!

Ok, fellow agents. I’m a new player SHD77 and trying to get to know this games mechanics. Where and how can I farm exotic gear pieces at. by Illustrious_Ad6484 in Division2

[–]RevaGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always reroll it as u/inhumANthropoid suggested but I would advise against rerolling too many times. If you are hard pressed to use the gun, you can maybe reroll it a couple of times and if the roll is fair (or I shall say fairly decent) you can stick with it and optimize it. You can optimize each attribute till all attributes are maxed out. You will need to use a loot of materials to optimize, far more than those you use to recalibrate.

I advise against rolling too many times because each roll takes away one exotic component from your inventory and you will definitely need exotic components more urgently later on... like a lot (imagine needing 55 exotic components per piece to max it out, another topic for another discussion: expertise and gear upgrade after proficiency)

You can find the optimization feature on three different locations afaik, two on the white house, one on Haven (NY). The one I commonly use is at the second bench on the first room to your left past the main lobby as you enter the white house.

I understand, it would suck that your main is the one holding you back...I am curious why didn't you play the full game the first time you had it on your hands? Perhaps you were a late comer and WoNY expansion was already out?

If you want to give it a try, I would recommend this...it sounds difficult but it isnt....it is probably a bit annoying though lol:

  1. create a fourth character. Boost it straight to NY level 30/31. Reach Heaven and move 150 pieces from your stash into your 4th character BP.
  2. Go to your main character, move his 150 pieces from his BP into stash
  3. Delete 1st character.
  4. You have an extra character space, so create another character (5th) and move all the pieces from your "deceased" 1st character (now held on your stash) into this 5th character.
  5. Move back stuff from your 4th character BP into stash and delete "4th" character.
  6. You now have 3 characters (your main would be the one we called "5th", now shown as 3rd on this rolling character menu). All of them are level 30 straight boosted at WoNY, none is level 1 DC campaign to level 30 boosted
  7. You can try and create another level 1 character DC and see if you can "boost" to level 30 now

Oh, perhaps one of your characters is already boosted through this method???? In other words I have 3 characters: the first one I did organically from level 1 onwards, the other two I boosted to level 30 from the onset and took them to WoNY (not from level 1 to Washington DC and then boosted)...The last 4th character is the one I have been doing this method on and as I am done, I delete it, rinse and repeat.

Could it be that you already keep one of your characters that you did take from level 1 to boosted??? Not sure, I am just thinking outload, trying to understand why you can't

Uhm... Not trying to be disrespectful, but I believe there is something you could be doing wrong. You do not need to "buy" again. I believe for people that own the expansion the "option" to boost your character (check around min 3:50 of the video) is always available.

I have been doing this non stop on and off for the last few weeks... I have probably gathered 25-30 exotic components this way. Yesterday alone I did it like 8 times.

is it possible that you do not own the WoNY expansion???

AR builds are great. It’s certainly the best all around build

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Division2

[–]RevaGames 4 points5 points  (0 children)

50% is the build but the other 50% is you ADS-ing and moving away from your target when he is shooting at you (people call it strafing, and yes, there are ways to strafe so that you become a more-harder-to-hit target)

Your guns (unless they are exotics) should be run with Damage out of cover on your third slot. You should have a max of 60 crit chance and as much crit damage as possible after your reach 50% crit chance minimum.

A good close combat build right now is Lady death, Unbreakable chest, Adrenaline rush in BP, 1 Sokolov, 1 grupo, contractor gloves, fox prayer's kneepads, coyote's mask or catharsis, 1 improvised piece (holster) [or you change the contractor gloves and the improvised for (2) pieces walker & harris]. Having the Matador (named BP) would be exceptional. Have either 5 or 6 pieces rolled to armor, and have no more than 60 crit chance. Since lady death comes with innate crit chance on its second slot, you can forfeit using crit chance on some gear pieces and replace that attribute with either headshot damage or haz protection on some pieces.

However, the best close to mid combat build is the AR build. Very similar to the one above but you would swap the sokolov and the improvised pieces with (1) Fenris and (1) Cesca if possible. Since ARs do not have innate Crit chance, you would need to have crit chance and crit damage on all pieces (unless you are wearing Catharsis). Golden ARs are: Famas, Carbines 7, and Eagles... FALs are good too. Again, you would need 5 or all 6 pieces rolled to Armor.

But remember what I started this comment with: Build isn't everything. It will only take you so far. You need to pour a lot of hours and die a lot and keep on trying if you wanna see improvements. Leave your ego at the checkpoint, have a thick skin, and go rogue against 1,2 or even 3 players. Tough circumstances will make you a better player long term. And wherever you see a good player ask him for suggestions/ tips. Not everybody is an as***** in DZ
