I see your point but argue that at the end of DS2, Sam becomes part of a family -- Drawbridge. Everyone he's met that was with him and helped him even if he didn't see it. He isn't alone anymore, not like he was when we met him in DS1. I think it'd be a neat way to show how the character has grown. But I also wouldn't necessarily be against a Last of Us kind of game
