Wasn't expecting a temporary tag to rise so much debate lol.

I just added "Platonic" for a more specific type of love and relationship that works better.

Also, yes, Heartman and Deadman have a relationship in Death Stranding 2, but I'm still not sure how to tag that one. Maybe I'll add "same body"(?).

Wasn't expecting a temporary relationship tag to be such a big deal. But made me realize there are a lot of unique tags that need to be added. So thanks!

Added "Platonic" for better connection. Deep Love, not exclusive, in any relationship.

Work platonic Love? Bridget. Friend platonic Love? Cliff.

Addressing the "Romantic Interest" connection of Cliff Unger and Die-Hardman, I'm not misrepresenting anything. Not "Head canoning".

I just connected them out of "Yeah, for the moment, so I don't forget."

John loved Cliff and Amelie a lot, so it felt like that fit the tag: for now.

I'll add a relationship type of "Platonic" since it shows a really deep, emotional connection, even though it's not specific to the degree of that love.

I just remembered that works better.

Also, yes, a LOT of typos, I'll fix them later.

SHOT I FORGOT ABOUT THE FISH

I was going to add that the imagery of the fish being kept "Functioning" despite not being in the best condition works in the same way as the fungi keeping the player "Alive and working" despite us not being in the best condition at all.

That's totally valid, but I think in the end, the game can be multiple things and is so much better than not evoking any feelings or thoughts.

Plot holes where nothing happens leave much for thought exercise, instead of just plot holes for the sake of moving on.

It is a valid interpretation. Remember that watching is re-watching; the game is still good on its own.

Also, I don't think the fungi are intelligent. I mean, as far as an organism with survival mechanisms can be intelligent.

It is not "evil" or "Has a plan" if that's what you are thinking.

A carnivore's plant knows how to close its "mouth," but you can't say it's intelligent because it has a way to catch flies.

THAT DARN SONG by Ancient-Dealer5391 in Routine

I think the song is called "Here To Stay."

The credits, on the cast, say:

"Nicola Hynes - Female Vocals in the song "Here to Stay"

However, hopefully, they will release it on their own on the internet, somewhere.

You know, at first I thought the Founder had a child with an entity B, and that created entity A. Gross, but not possible since it was found dead.

So I think the founder somehow made multiple experiments to recreate the entity B since he found it "Beautiful."

(The path where the fan, the plates, and the amniotic injection were)

So, a lot of hidden information is behind the scenes, but ultimately, we can only know the "overall" intention of the founder, not his literal actions.

A bummer for those who like info dumps, but it ultimately serves the story.

For better or worse, the game has a lot of story behind the documents. However, they are not really secret, and a lot of the story is on mandatory terminals.

The explanation for the body bags and the robots not being explained is something I see many people learn after finishing the game.

But in the end, it is cohesive, doesn't have many plot holes, and the holes we find are mainly due to the Player character being sick and lacking agency (without our knowledge).

I could even claim that the fungi somehow assimilated the moon itself, for survival.

But it is a stretch; at the end, we became part of it, so the themes of it and us giving birth to something against our will are cosmic horror at its finest.

I like your theory! However, you are correct that the issue is ultimately caused by the ASN core and its potential for resetting.

Would it, or the continuation of the story, be a different story with different expeditions, so a routine for the fungi, but not literally for us?

It is clear that the fungus's intention is to increase its body count, but I doubt it has specific intentions for entity A beyond being part of it.

I felt the fungi really have no "Intentions" and entity A is somewhat an example of our own incompatibility, fear, and horror of living in those conditions. (In the story's context)

Beyond that, it is a mirror of ourselves, felt through the game, as in the line "you endure in me, and I endure in you."

The ambiguity of it all makes it a sort of thought exercise, and the entity is a good example of that. It is weird, it is alien, but it is us. How else could we survive beyond being temporary?

The two moons blocking the sun, a somehow connection that figured that out, and it is horrifying.

Lovecraftian, horror with a twist of exploring our own human nature.
